Fantastic, soups and sandwiches! The Reuben was so tender and full of flavor. The restaurant inside a beautiful and cozy house, like being at Grandma's place! The homemade desserts were sooo good! We recommend the Banana Pudding Cheesecake and Coconut Cream Pie! Great service on a rainy Saturday afternoon! Enjoy~

Such a wonderful place! We're so glad we chose to have breakfast here. The music was tasteful on Pandora and after being there a few mins we got the sweet surprise of live music. I don't know if this is something that's done every Sunday and if it is, I hope they do that forever. It was really hard to choose from their menu, everything sounded delicious. Since it was super cold that day, we ended up getting some hearty comfort food. My husband got the bowl of chili with sausage and I got the white beans with kale over grits and I ended up adding sausage and avocado to mine. It was so delicious! We were most impressed with the sausage, it definitely had its own flavor and style. All in all we loved the ambiance filled with art, music, and delicious food.

Great hangout in historic cooper-young district in Memphis. Good food , music, and market . Has a unique coffee blend called Ugly Mug which is a local roaster. Quite a good collection of pies, cakes and brownies. The music was exceptionally good. Thank you Davy Ray Bennett for some great Guitar skills...loved it 😄

This place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! It has so much rich history of the area and the food is exquisite! They have some of the best bacon I’ve ever eaten! The Swedish crepes are to die for as well and the gyros are perfect each time! Every time we go, we go with 3-8 people (either just the family or an event), and we all leave stuffed to the brim with leftovers and possibly something from their gift shop! I LOVE the decorations and the interior. Great to play I Spy in when you're waiting for your food (kind of a long wait, but they're always busy, and the food is worth it)! The staff is always nice and helpful, and the atmosphere gives you a sense of belonging and fun. To anyone visiting the Blues City, make sure you stop by for breakfast or lunch (or dinner on Fridays)! You won’t be disappointed, unless, that is, when you're done with your food and have to leave. That"s my least favorite part, because i enjoy the place so much I never want to leave!

The atmosphere was cozy and all the employees I encountered were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu, food restrictions, etc. My server made great suggestions. I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast with Turkey sausage, biscuits and gravy, and ugly mug hot chocolate. Everything was delicious. My biscuits were brought out first: they were thick and fluffy. The gravy was in a bowl so I could ration how much I wanted instead of having soggy biscuits. I also love that they had an option for gravy without sausage.

Nice vibe and extensive menu. I had a late breakfast with gluten free toast. Bonus points for both. Good coffee as well. Service was all smiles and right on time. Food was overall good. Not amazing but good. I reserve 5 stars for when I'm blown away. So 4 is very good.

I want to give this place 5 stars, the service is 4 out of 5 times polite, the food is pretty good, the place is cute, bathroom clean. But there's just something about it. Excellent toast. Coffee meh. Parking difficult. Signage not as informative as it should be. They do have vegetarian gravy which is awesome and turkey sausage, also awesome.

This is my favorite breakfast place! The food is consistently delicious. There is outdoor seating and a bakery/gift shop in the restaurant. The service is the best. They also have delicious lunch entrees..always a good time I try to get there each week. Always a fun experience.

Love the live guitar and singing- not too loud and a great touch for a trendy mid-town restaurant. Atmosphere is also a plus- love the small rooms for dining for a more intimate experience. The food is fresh and cooked "healthy" with fresh veggies and not greasy. Love the wide selection of breakfast and lunch options.

Good food and very filling. We tried a little bit of everything. The country ham steak, western omelet, grits, and French toast were all delicious. The biscuits are big and fluffy too. I would recommend my family and friends to come here. We are already planning to return to try lunch and dinner in the near future.

My family and I were traveling through Memphis on March 12 and were getting quite “hangry”. Usually we thoroughly research where we are going to eat, but we decided to park and walk until we stumbled upon something. After being rudely turned away by the first place we went, we walked across the street to Stone Soup Cafe. Let me preface this by saying that this place is adorable. It’s an old house that has been turned into an eating establishment that hosts both indoor and outdoor seating. Super cozy, super chill. We decided to eat inside where we were overwhelmed with so many yummy food options. We were all dying to try the Spicy Crawfish Bisque, so our waitress brought us some along with good ol cornbread. When I say that’s the best bisque we’ve all ever eaten, I’m not even lying. It was divine. Our meals were excellent too. Upon our arrival, there was an elderly couple dining outside. I noticed our waitress run out the door to give them their to-go box that they had accidentally left on the table. Of course this made my heart melt. Both the service and food were excellent, but what this establishment did beyond our dining experience speaks volumes. When we arrived home from our trip, I noticed I didn’t have my debit card. I sent Stone Soup Cafe a message on Facebook asking if I had left it there. They promptly responded, and after I provided them with some information, they mailed my card back to me along with a sweet note. I realize I could have just canceled it, but it was way more trouble than I wanted to go through. I'm sure everyone is in agreeance when I say trust isn't easy to have these days, but SSC is topnotch. If you're looking for excellence all around and a place that feels like home, DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE. We'll be making a 1.5 hour trip back very soon.

Very good place to have breakfast. I like that they've converted an old house into a restaurant. We were seated upstairs and though the tables were a little close together, we didn't mind because it added to the "southern comfort" feel of the place. The food was good and they had a guitarist downstairs playing acoustic covers softly
