Upscale Mediterranean restaurant located in downtown Menlo Park. Offers a good variety of Mediterranean dishes. Of the two items we ordered here, the dishes are pretty good. They offer free bread and oil dip which is a huge plus. Customer service is okay and the drink menu could be improved a bit.
[The Food and Drink]
We thought the food here was great for the price. The falafel was crisp and tasted authentic. The soup was excellent as well. We were really happy that they also offer bread at the beginning of the meal which is really nice and under appreciated nowadays! The drinks could be a little more varied if possible. For instance, their IPA beer was literally just listed as "IPA" without any distinction as to locale or brand. Otherwise, great food and drink!
[The Location]
Great location here located right on Santa Cruz avenue in Menlo Park. They have a good amount of outdoor seating and the restaurant doesn't appear to get very crowded which is nice! The street is quiet and the area is very safe by California standards!
My family has been coming here ever since it opened when I was in high school, and it is by far my favorite place to come to whenever I am home. The food is amazing, the people are great. The servers are long-time employees and have been so kind all these years.
As for the menu, I am yet to find something that has disappointed! I would recommend the seafood kebab for a main, and don’t be afraid to over-order the appetizers (they are all delicious).
Nice and quiet outside dining experience. Galata kebab was an excellent choice. Manti was great. Manti is in many ways similar to Chinese style sui-gyoza, but on yogurt.
This was my first time here and I enjoyed every bit of it. The staff were nice and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I ordered the combo plate so I could try the different kebabs.
I must say I enjoyed their bread service way too much and asked to take my leftover bread to go. They obliged and even added more for more.
I'll be going back to try more items on their menu.
Oh my goodness! If you are in the San Jose area, run down to downtown Menlo Park and eat at Galata. Mmm. The octopus is AMAZING! I found my new favorite spot to eat when traveling here.
I am gluten free and felt completely safe eating here. The server was very kind and helpful with options and recommendations.
I’ve been here many times and have been worth five-star ratings every time. I pretty much love everything here because I try almost everything. The staff is friendly and great service and food is absolutely great. We always exciting when we go back to this restaurant for dinner. My kids love this place. Kids and family friendly.
Combo plate was good. Beyti could have been better. The place was really packed when we were there but the service was faster than I expected
Excellent Mediterranean food and friendly service. A nice lunch spot for children with outdoor seating.
