Oh my. I showed up famished after a mini race and two hours of bumper-to-bumper traffic and I remembered an old roommate's recommendation: Mardini's. I'm so glad I went and ate in the dining room. The owners are friendly. They took really good care of me. And for the first time in a gazillion years I didn't even finish my plate: there was so much food I took some to go! The chicken was perfectly grilled, tender and juicy. The salad was crisp and fresh. The rice perfect. The hummus fluffy and flavorful. The pita warm and soft. All of this for $15+tx? On the peninsula?!? You must be kidding. And then the mushroom soup was rich and thick and delicious. How are they not flooded with customers?!?! I may become a regular. Thank you for such great food and care and pride in what you are doing.

My husband & I are in Menlo Park for a few day. We found Mardini's online & I'm happy we did. He had the pastrami & cheese. He was pleasantly surprised with the addition of onion, lettuce & tomato on the sandwich. I had the lamb kabobs with rice, hummus and salad. The lamb was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The owner was very friendly & welcomed us with a huge smile. It was apparent that this place is a local favorite as he greeted them by name & inquired about family members. We will definitely go here when we are in the area again.

Lovely atmosphere and amazing food. I had the lamb and beef gyro plate and was not disappointed at the quantity or quality. Baklava was super tasty. Highly recommend and will be coming here again for lunch

Man, this place.. super tasty food. But it’s not the food that wins it for me, it’s the owner and his wife. Open for over 15 years, every time I come in he remembers me.. he always hosts like it’s his own home. Go here, even if it’s empty, just go in and get some Schwarma

This is another family-run spot and used to be a staple for us when we lived nearby. If I'm in the area, I do make a point of grabbing my favorite order which is a falafel deluxe wrap spicy (adds french fries and eggplant). Portions are huge and it's a tasty treat for sure. I can usually only eat half of one order. It's also not too salty which I feel like can be a problem with some falafel wraps.

Try the Falafel plate or the beef shawarma wrap for an amazing and filling lunch, one of the best Mediterranean / middle eastern pickup spots around. Would suggest takeout and not eating in house, as it is more of a deli bar than a restaurant
