I would give 100 stars if I could! There were so many vegan and gluten-free options that it was hard to decide on only one! I went with the gluten-free plate cakes with fruit, and it was absolutely delicious! And... they even had internet access, so I was able to get some work done, too! I can't wait to go back. This place is a gem!!

Great restaurant with fresh scratch made foods. My family and I decided to stop in for Easter brunch. The restaurant was not busy, thank goodness. It is a quaint small place. My biggest complaint was that it is so small... It was difficult seating wise for larger people. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash Skillet. It was delicious. I enjoyed the way the corned beef is prepared. My hubby ordered the Frosted Toast. It is coated with frosted flakes and drizzled with raspberry sauce. He enjoyed the pieces that were cooked crunchier. I also got to sample with my eyes as well as my taste buds, the Corned Beef Benny( the hollandaise sauce was delightful) and the pancakes (they were plate size and had great flavor). Pricing was reasonably and portion sizes were adequate. I would definitely recommend this place.

Went here for breakfast with the family. Not the biggest place, only a couple of booths and some tables. Many of the people who came in while we were there were just picking up orders, so it seems like a fine place to do that. We were only one of two occupied tables at the time, so service was quick. All together, we ended up getting the western omelet, kitchen skillet, corned beef hash skillet (pictured), and cinnamon french toast. We all enjoyed our food quite a lot. Each dish felt and tasted like they were made with fresh ingredients. Only two small issues. First, while the dishes were priced well for what you got, I felt like the skillets could have been a bit bigger and would suggest maybe getting something on the side to go along with it. Second, you may feel a noticeable vibration in your seat as you are eating at this location. This is because of the workout place next door, as seen in the front desk notice (second picture). I saw the notice coming in, but did not notice the vibration until near the end of our meal, after seeing a number of people go past the window obviously heading to the workout location. Not super distracting, but I can understand why they would need to put a notice at the front for it. Overall, I would definitely suggest giving this place a try! Edit (July 18th): Went here again with a friend of mine. I got a lunch item this time, The Tripple Melt sandwich, while they got eggs, potatoes, bacon, and toast. The sandwich was excellent and my friend enjoyed their food, especially the proper cook on the bacon. Second time around, second time enjoying my time here!

What is there not to say about the kitchen! The cooks there are making the food right in front of you so that's really interesting seeing someone manage so many orders. And on top of that the food is mouth watering as you smell the aroma. The cook was very personable and was it carrying a conversation with me as she was cooking meal after meal and did not seem dismissive at all. This is a family-owned business and they really treat each other with respect which is rare these days. I ended up getting the double burger which I could not finish because it was so huge. I ordered the sandwich to be cooked medium and it was super juicy all the way through. My mouth water is even making this review although I just ate remembering how great it tasted. The pancakes are super delicious and the service here is rare. This is a great spot to have as a date or casual dining. I live in Ashtabula and I drive 40 minutes to enjoy such incredible food.

Went in earlier for brunch with the wife and little 3mo. Food is OUTSTANDING. Fresh, not greasy or heavy, just absolutely flavorful and didn't feel like a slug for eating it. I had the California Omelette which was huge and comes with a solid portion of potatoes. Wife got a skillet which was also tasty, unfortunately did not have any GF pancakes, i think due to the power outage days prior and such, but typically look like they have very solid and unique GF options. Cost for that was 30 bucks plus tip (i had a coffee). We had our 3mo and they could clearly see we were struggling outside and came and opened the door for us. Were as accommodating as could be! I will say it is tight in there so if you have a stroller use an umbrella. they let us fold ours up and just put it to the side. But definitely not a place you can park it next to a booth. This was just after the tornado/power outages. They just got power on it sounded like rather shortly before opening. Though they take credit cards, they couldn't as the cell towers and such were still down and very iffy. So that was inconvenient for them and us, but clearly not their fault. That said, despite the stress level on their end, they had great food and awesome service. Absolutely will go back (and likely check out one of Sean's (owner) other spots. Loved it!

The food is excellent--the Chicken and Waffles are amazing. The Monte Cristo is delicious. The server (Tammy) is always attentive and friendly. The cook is a real firecracker. Absolutely wonderful people with great food. They have one server that doesn't always show up on time so that can slow things down, but they work hard at making great food. The restaurant can vibrate a bit from the gym next door, but that probably helps to burn some of the calories you are eating 😀

UPDATE: I decided to go back and give the Kitchen a second try... and it was delicious! I had the Monte Cristo and I would definitely recommend it! I’m so glad I decided to go back! It was very slow when my mom and I went (it was us and one other lady), and I ordered a veggie panini and I was served an omelette. It was okay, way too much egg and not nearly enough veggies. I also ordered the vegan sausage, which was good. My mom ordered an English muffin and eggs, and the English muffin is simply a brioche bun toasted. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. Probably won’t be back soon, but I may give it another shot in the future.

I have always walked away satisfied from dining here. My girlfriend and I are making it a Saturday regular. The food is delicious, the portions are enough to feed anyone, and the staff is friendly.

Food is wonderful! Been here about half a dozen times and everything has been delicious. For our lastest excursion, our server was Olivia and she enhanced our total dining experience. Not only a great waitress, her pleasant personality ensured our continued return.

Service was prompt and courteous. Kitchen staff seem to have good rapport with servers. The kitchen area is visible. Everything is made-to-order and many substitutions are possible, including vegan meat and gluten free options. Food prices were reasonable and portions were fair. The food was delicious and tasted homemade. Try the Corned Beed Hash Skillet. Only one star removed for location. Venue can get cramped when it's busy and the floor shakes from time to time from the fitness studio next door. Worth a visit.

The veggie omelet & nutella/banana stuffed french toast were delicious! Waitress was really nice and on top of her game during a busy Sunday brunch.

I have been to the kitchen multiple times while I've lived in Mentor over the last few months. The servers and cooks are fantastic and very personable. Must haves, French Toast, Pancakes, and omelets. You get quality home cooked meals that won't break the bank in today's economy. Remember to ask for Tammy and hope Linda is cooking, they're some of the best cooks and servers I've had compared to many other restaurants in the area. Whether you're from Mentor, live in Mentor, or just passing through it is a must stop for breakfast or brunch!
