The BEST food. I've been back many times and every time I've loved all the dishes I've ordered. The staff is friendly and the environment is welcoming and warm. If you ever want to impress anyone, bring them here!
As a Chinese American who moved to Boise 4 months ago, I was almost ready to give up on finding a restaurant that served authentic/traditional Chinese food because I couldn’t find any - until today! This restaurant actually serves authentic/traditional Chinese dishes!!! :) They have two separate menus: a default menu that serves more westernized dishes (but still looks tasty), and there is a second menu available upon request which serves authentic/traditional Chinese dishes including Sichuan/Szechuan Chinese cuisine! I ordered the 鱼香茄子 and 水煮鱼 and they tasted deliciously umami in the best way that Chinese cuisine is known for. I am so happy and will be back!
We were seated by the manager as soon as we got there. The restaurant was clean and has a great atmosphere. Try the chicken in red sauce(not the actual name), Mongolian beef and fried rice. A great dinner for two with plenty of leftovers for tomorrow!
Our dishes were prepared fresh. I loved the chow rice otherwise known as fried rice. I ordered the Lim & Lime chicken and double mushroom beef. Both dishes were delicious. Portions are generous and expect to take home leftovers. Very good!
This place is truly gourmet. Although I sorely missed authentic Hong Kong cuisine, this place is so good with Mandarin cooking that my cravings are deeply satisfied.
Here are two dishes off of their “Chinese Menu” but anyone who loves this style of cuisine will not find them too outlandish.
This place is by no means a grease joint. The chef does a remarkable job of combining ingredients of different textures and their naturally different colors to create appeal — this is a very traditional approach, keeps a dish from being one-dimensional, and each ingredient contributes nutritional value in their own way.
Both dishes are great examples of why you would want to dine in. They will still taste great if you order to go or get delivery. However, during transportation, the food undergoes a steaming effect while being in containers. You will lose some of the essential fresh-off-the-wok experience such as the crisp taste and texture of dishes as the chef intended.
It’s quite authentic Chinese good with good quality and quantity.
