After 1 visit Lucky Lou’s has become a favorite of mine. I’ll be visiting Lucky Lou’s frequently. I’ve noticed after one visit that you can be yourself and joke around and everyone seems to be on the same come. Besides the obvious expectations like good food, cold beers, and attentive servers Lucky Lou’s is very diverse and the bartender Max was cracking me up and knew how to handle the crowd. I’ll be back very soon
Chicken Wing heaven! Crispy honey BBQ wings were fried, tossed in sauce, grilled and re-tossed in sauce. Yup full flavor goodness.
We came to Lucky Lou's for lunch because they allow dogs. They have a nice patio with misters. Our server brought a bowl of water for our dog. Service was excellent and we enjoyed our meal.
Met with our Taco Tuesday group of 14 at Lucky Lou's. Our server, Ashley, took great care of us and was handling all her customers on the patio like a champ! Can't say enough of her professionalism and positive attitude. The food was good and it seemed like a very popular place for the regulars.
Thank you very much MAX for the great service provided. We ordered the honey bbq wings and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and they were hot and fresh on our table in a few minutes. It was my first time here but I will be coming back and bringing family and friends!
We came here on Halloween.
Wasn't too crowded. They have an outside patio area. We sat inside. The food was good. The service wasn't bad.
I didn't leave feeling like I needed to rave about the place and tell all my friends to go here. But, it was still nice. Will definitely go back to try some other menu items.
Only stopped in for some drinks but liked the vibe of the place! Definitely seems like more of a local watering hole. Nice sports bar to watch a game at, though! Has an outdoor patio with smoking allowed. Good draft beer options, too. Overall, cool spot!
Above average bar food at reasonable prices. I had ordered the boneless wings with teriyaki and they were good but not great. Service was unfortunately a little slow, but they were busy, so totally understandable. It’s a good neighborhood bar
It's hard to describe how good the Chicken Fried Chicken is. It's NOT just fried chicken. It's better than that. It's NOT an oversized chicken tender. It's better than that. The mashed potatoes and broccoli with cheese and almonds are perfect accompaniments.
The only downside is the bartender. She is absolutely the worst 😉.
This a great place for comfort food and watching sports. They have had the same staff for years and always provide amazing service. The daily specials are fantastic, especially the chicken fried chicken and the prime rib. The only downside is that it’s small, so it’s not always easy to get a seat or table.
Steak cooked right, the sides were also great. Service was awesome. He was also the bartender. The apple crisp was a great ending 👍
I had the ribeye medium rare. It was cooked perfectly. There was quite a bit of gristle around the edges (which explains the 3 stars) but for the price it seemed ok. My wife and daughter had chicken wings which were good. Busy place. Server was excellent.
What a great place to hang out and watch football. Great ambiance... customer service and food. Prices are very comparable and I don't feel are over the top. Plus they didn't judge me for wearing my LA Rams top while enjoying the Dallas Cowboys game. Bonus!! Haha!
The charbroiled chicken was delicious! I opted for rice pilaf for my side. It was very good. The wait staff was busy, but I was never without water.
I have had their fish & chips before, and they are really good 👍
A little small but we absolutely loved the food, super tasty and the portion sizes were huge! We had a very attentive waiter who kept our glasses full and brought our food out pretty quick. It was our first time there but we'll definitely be stopping in again! Thanks guys! Oh and I'd like to also mention that some other patrons, who seemed to be regulars, were really sweet making room for my daughters wheelchair😊 Thanks to them as well!!
This place was hopping on a sweltering Sunday afternoon. Cold AC and ice cold Kiltlifter helped to ease the pain. Southwest chicken sandwich was the 💣. French fries done just right and seasoned perfectly. Service attentive and friendly. Great spot in east Mesa!
The ranch is watered down. Too bad because the souhtwest chicken sandwich was really good. Had the ranch with mozarella sticks and in southwest firm for the sandwich. Dripped everywhere and made a mess. I know you gotta save where you can, but I'd glady pay more for ranch that isn't watery. The staff was great.

I live in Avondale and came to Mesa for a soccer game… wanted to eat at a local place and found Lucky Lou’s … it did not disappoint. Happy hour on Saturday 12-5… big menu with so many bomb sandwich choices. Ordered fried zucchini with ranch… yum. Their ranch is bomb. Zucchini was a little greasy but still yummy .. I just soaked it up with a napkin. I had a a pastrami Reuben (it was a daily special) and a cup of chili (one of the 2 soups of the day) - the Reuben was delicious- perfect amount of pastrami to sauerkraut… good rye bread, melty Swiss cheese. Got an extra side of thousand island … because who doesn’t love extra sauce!?! The chili was very good.
Our server was attentive, helpful, funny …has worked there for 6 years. He helped me decide on my meal and took care of us the way a server should.
I got a good vibe from the atmosphere… seems like a place where the local
love to go… I want a Lucky Lou’s in Avondale. Definitely recommend and will go back for sure, any time I am in Mesa and want a cold beer, great service and tasty bites.
I absolutely love this Lucky Lou's! It's so relaxed and comfy to watch a game, have a beer, and get some great food. The servers are always fun and attentive.
