My granddaughter and I decided to try this place because of good ratings. We were not disappointed! I had the red pork tamale breakfast combo. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the beans were delicious. The masa on the tamale was the perfect texture and the chile was so good. My granddaughter got the chorizo breakfast burrito which was huge. It was full of meat, 2 eggs, potatoes (but not over filled with potatoes like most places). She could only eat about half of it. It was $20. For the two of us breakfast that more than filled us up and sustained us for the entire day of shopping while in Mesa.
Excellent food! Even something as simple as a bean burrito is so delicious from this restaurant. Their tamales are authentic and amazing. I highly recommend those as well!
Oh my gosh!! Great tasting tamales similar like grandma made. My family is from Chihuahua so I can relate to the style cooking. Jennifer greeted you with a smile, recommenced what to order and served the food. I tried green Chile chicken, corn, red chile beef, green Chile with cheese, and sweet tamales. The owner came out and engaged in a conversation with me. Very nice place!! Highly recommend visiting Old El Paso Tamales!!

I have been trying to make it down here after work for a month now bc I’ve heard from family that the tamales are incredible. I Finally get down here 10mins to closing and order a half dozen red chili pork to test drive. Oh my goodness we got both the beef and green chili tamales for Christmas Eve. They were the best tamales I've ever eaten. If you want to pre order for Christmas you need to order at least a week in advance, they stop taking pre orders before then.
