The restaurant specialized in Szechuan cuisine. The restaurant is very spacious. I would recommend you to try beef slice in golden soup. It was the first time I tried it and I was very impressed. It was a great combination of spicy, sour, and savory. Very flavorful. I personally didn’t like crispy spicy fried chicken as it was not very crispy and spicy.

Absolutely a hidden gem nestled in the city of Mesa. We love the warm and inviting ambiance inside the restaurant. The menu is also elegantly and beautifully designed (Well done guys). We are so surprised that they actually serve a diverse selection of authentic Chinese cuisine, I truly mean real authentic Chinese food (Spicy Szechuan, Hunan, Chongqing, Cantonese, and many more). Overall, the passion and dedication that go into every dish are evident to all of us. So, if you are in the area near Phoenix and want to find authentic Chinese cuisine like no other, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Came here at noon, not much people. Easy to find parking spot. The food was served quickly. The boiled fish is not as many as expected 😅, too oily but still ok. But the cumin lamp was so good.

We ordered the spicy braised chicken with potato and the dry red pepper fried fish filet. The chicken was pretty spicy and we liked it a lot. The portion was massive, we could only finish half and we brought the rest home. The fried fish was delicious too.

One of the most authentic Szechuan cuisine I've ever had out of Szechuan in China. Both the flavor and texture match what it is back in there. They reduce the spicy flavor to fit most of the populations here which I can totally accept it. The speed is extremely fast. They could complete all the order within a very short amount of time.

Place is really really good, among the great Chinese places in the area, spice spirit definitely stands out. One of the best kungpao chicken I’ve had in the United States, they really got the taste right. Definitely go for the kungpao and I remember their dry pot was also great.

The food here at Spice Spirit is on of the most authentic Chinese food I’ve had. If you are a fan of spicy and numbing food this is the place for you. Food: A+ Service: A+ Spicy: 🔥🔥🔥🥵🥵🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️ Taro chicken was so delicious and full of flavor. The chicken is fall of the bone tender chicken. The broth…omg. Don’t let me get started on the broth. It’s packed with flavor and spice!

Highlights: (hint, I am Asian and love real Sichuan) Pic 4: the best, califlower with belly pork, califlower is lightly fried to perfection, combined with perfectly sauteed belly pork slices, very light yet very flavorful. I am so happy I tried something new and really liked this. Pic 3, ratten pepper with think sliced beef. Very spicy as it should be, with a rich bed of bean sprouts. If you don't like bean sprouts, you might be disappointed to this part, but the broth and beef are very satisfying. Pic 3&4, thin sliced beef salad. They customized the sauce to the American taste, and with a thick bed of celery. I would not recommend. We also ordered Chongqing cold noodle, I thought it was Chongqing Xiao (spicy) noodle, but it is sour/vinegary than spicy. So I didn't include the picture.

I've been looking for authentic Chinese food for a few years now since I've tried it in China in various provinces. My Chinese friend recommended Spice Spirit and I was so excited to finally find the authentic food in Phoenix! Spice spirit has many excellent vegetarian and vegan dishes. We had mapo tofu and fired eggplant. Tofu is spicy but not too spicy and the spiciness numbs your mouth. It's full of flavor and it's something you've never tasted before if you didn't have Szechuan food in China. Eggplant was very balanced-sweet, spicy and savoury, and cooked perfectly. The service was excellent.

Nice authentic Chinese restaurant, there is a big variety of food, yet hard to choose from. I got some soup with pork meet and lotus and some beef stew which both were delicious. The portions are very big, two people can share and you can still have for to go.

I always come here for some numbing pepper soup with fish. You can never go wrong with it. There’s a red soup and a white soup. Tried the white one recently, i was sweating like crazy. But you can still taste all the flavours, it’s crazy how they manage to do it. Also had glass jelly for dessert. This thing is so unique

Great place for authentic Chinese food. Had some more American options. Overall was so delicious. 10/10 Ordered the Chicken BBQ Skewers, Pork Buns, Mongolian Beef, Orange Chicken, Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs, and the ham and shrimp fried rice. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the orange chicken and Mongolian beef. I will be dreaming about it.

This place is dynamite—I’m in Phoenix on vacation. We decided to try this place with our extended family. Staff are great and the food is honestly incredible.

The food speaks for itself. Szechuan classics are delicious (this is what I typically order) but there is a lot of variety on the menu too. Clean place with a nice atmosphere. I go here often when I'm in town. Bring friends so you can sample more dishes!

We ordered pork belly, chicken gizzards and intestine, lots of chile peppers made it super spicy, it was all delicious. The gizzards could use a slower cooking process or taken off the heat sooner but were great regardless.
