I’m almost hesitant to write an honest review of how much I LOVE La Pollita for fear that it’ll get so popular I’ll never be able to eat there again!! But alas, I’ll be the bigger person and share my love [of tacos] with the world. I’ve been at fancy dinners in Design District and whispered to my friends, “After this, can we get Pollita Tacos please??” Try their Avocado Taco, which is a personal favorite!!
This is what happens when a young couple with an extensive background in NYC fine dining decide to open a food truck in Miami’s Design District and make some of the best tacos and sandwiches on Planet Earth. There is nothing you won’t love! Alex and Luci use amazing ingredients (including bacon from Proper Sausages), make incredible salsas for their tacos - and you can finish off your meal with churros - With a chocolate dipping sauce that you’ll use a spoon on or simply drink if there’s any left??? But as crazy good as the tacos are, the chicken sandwich (and the off the menu swordfish sandwich) is the best I’ve had. Go. Now. (And check out the work on the truck, greeting cards and pins by local artist Beth Rhodes, @bethmade_ on IG)
Delicious, but small tacos. Cute outdoor location in the Design District.
This is the most unbelievable place. The decor is amazing, the food is incredible. It's a good truck, in a plant shop, the plant shop creates this amazingly romantic garden feel, and the food truck is a one man operation, with a man who's smart, passionate and an amazing chef, very friendly too.
Food is delicious! This is a place to please the palate. High quality food designed and executed by well disciplined hands. As soon as I have time, and a little bit of cash I will definitely come back to this part of Miami just for this. Even the Soft drinks they sell from Mexico seem to taste better. Thank you so much guys! I wish you both the best

Thrilled to have La Pollita in my neighborhood- the creative menu and quality ingredients makes them stand out from their competitors. I can't get enough of the corn they make. Great vibes and the chefs are always welcoming. Awesome place to grab a quick lunch or dinner with friends. Highly recommend!
You'd never expect to find food this great in a garden market. Just fantastic! The corn and bean salads were incredible and the black bean taco was out of this world. (And I'm a meat lover.)
Plus--fresh churros!
Also has friendly service and a great atmosphere to sit and eat. 10/10 would eat again.
The food is very yummy and fairly priced. Left feeling full but not bloated. And thank you for charging $1 for water instead of $3 like every other stand.
I had the fried chicken sandwich, my wife had the fish sandwhich. Both excellent.
Hidden gem! I came here with a friend to catch up and the food was AMAZING! My mom is Cuban so I've very picky about black beans but the taco with black beans was ON POINT! We also got the esquites which was hard for me to share because it was so good. The carne asada taco was cooked to perfection and the only reason why I didn't get the churros and chocolate was because I was already too full and I had a wedding the next day. Also! It's located in a plant nursery! Just don't ask them about the plants - they're chefs, not farmers and they don't own the nursery, they just share the space. I can't wait to go back, and keep going until I have tried everything on the menu!
As a native Californian who grew up on tacos, I can say these are authentic, innovative, and delicious. Great vibes too! Definitely the place to eat lunch in the design district.
mexican food... so great. It was so fresh. I had a brother come into town and he asked me to go back here. Bring your appetite because portions are large. Food is similar to a cafe in Portland I loved.

Unique inspired food concept off the beaten path! Don't miss this unforgettable & affordable escape; unwind and enjoy a journey of unique fresh flavors, in this scenic casual hotspot, that is nothing less than chic. Don't miss the yummy chicken tingas, and other varieties of authentic tacos while taking in the quaint vibe & gardens. My 3 year old's favorite... the corn!
Here's the deal, you have to go and you have to go when you're hungry or you will hurt yourself because once you start eating there's no going back. It's the flavors you just can't stop putting in your mouth and humming about.
The Fried Chicken Sandwich it's the best you will not want anyone else's chicken sandwich, I mean it. The favors that fill up your mouth when you bite into it are like nothing you ever tasted before then you'll start on the taquitos, the shrimp, the carnitas , the clouds part and angels sing. That is no lie I was there I ate and I saw it and behind it all is the flavors.
It's the best thing since earth.
One of the best spots in Miami for quality tacos. Great atmosphere and the owners are devoted to the quality of their menu. Don't miss it, this place has full five-star reviews for a reason.
The food flavor is amazing, friendly service in a cool, hip and modern location. Only one complaint from my point of view...Portions are really small. Absolutely delicious but tiny. Otherwise great place.
The ambience is so welcoming and unique. Really a beautiful little spot to visit. The food is amazing and affordable. A little oasis in Miami. Check em out! Good playlist too!
Better than Chick-fil-a. Best chicken sandwich I have ever had.
Place was amazing! Great addition to the neighborhood. Food was really good quality and uniquely crafted, and the chefs running it were really nice as well. Would highly recommend for lunch or dinner.
Miami Design District’s best kept secret. Love the tacos and the team is terrific. I highly recommend their Carne Asada and the Cochinito Pibil. They should be permanent in the area!
