Superb service from Anita in a cozy atmosphere that belies its urban surroundings. The comfort food label is appropriate but understates the quality of fare. It’s a very good sign when you are told an item is not available because the vegetables are not fresh enough. The one challenge is parking. I had to do a 17 point turn to get out of the lot. Take an Uber 🙂. Prices were not reasonable, they were crazy low

What a wonderful hidden gem of Coconut Grove! Tucked away next to Flannigans in the grove, I'm surprised I had never taken notice of this small cafe before. They are open only during the week with a simple lunch menu that also comes with their house made daily soup. The day my boyfriend and I ate there we were lucky to have their tomato soup. We both absolutely loved it especially since it tasted so fresh and homemade which is so rare with tomato soup.
Next for our entrees I went with what their house favorite is: the creamy mushroom chicken which was served with veggies. Wow oh wow. So simple, but well made----it was delicious and something I could see myself eating all the time if I lived in the area. My boyfriend ordered the curry meatballs which were not at all what we were expecting but just as delicious. I'm surprised to see a review complaining about them since we enjoyed the entree so much. The curry had a wonderful flavor (more of a middle eastern flavor vs. asian). We shared a kale salad per recommendation. I don't even usually like kale and this salad was AMAZING. The mint, peanuts, and asian inspired dressing pulls it all together as a refreshing side dish or meal. I would've loved to try it with their salmon!
Overall we loved our meal here and have told other friends that live in the area to definitely check them out since we both felt that their food was filling but so fresh/healthy that we didn't leave feeling overstuffed or bloated. Such a great meal at the right price. Look forward to trying more!
The perfect healthy lunch spot. Everything is delicious and actually come in good portions. The chicken and mushrooms was amazing. The palomilla steak was also tasty. The greens on the side are very good! We will be back to try the breakfast soon!

were delicious!! The owner and Waitress were very nice and really helped me pick the right meal for the occasion. A definite must visit for amazing clean food.

I went here for breakfast Saturday. The avocado toast was delicious . It was served on a large slice of sourdough bread , heaped with avocado that had just the right amount of lime . The poached egg on top was perfectly cooked. And it was only $8.00. So good price. The oatmeal bowl and egg casserole or salmon omelette sounded pretty good too. The place has a nice outdoor sitting area , that I like better than the inside part. It’s not easy to see from the road. So not very crowded either.
I work really close to this place so I have pretty much ordered every single item on the menu. Everything has been good so far. Food tastes like it's home made which is really hard to find in a restaurant. If you are close, go and give it a try. Prices are really cheap also.
Fresh, home made food, large portions, and cheap prices! Can't get any better than that. Very casual lunch spot that prepares food semi quickly and is perfect for the working person. I recommend the slow roasted lamb shank, it falls off the bone and is delicious.
Good experience. Chef / owner worked in Paris, so the tradition is "neighborhood bistro" for the Coconut Grove neighborhood. Very diverse and clever cuisines, so repeated visits are almost always new discoveries. Good ones.
Been eating here with wife 4 8 years. This is a family run business. All fresh ingredients with a latin twist. Lunches range from as low as $8.99-$14.99 4 a grilled churrasco. Awesome fresh food always.

Pleasantly greeted by owner, Juan, spectacularly friendly and totally thorough... very personable & explained menu plus business history beautifully! Dined al fresco on his intimate, covered deck. Food most excellent... fresh kale salad generous & yummy, fish tempura grand with expertly Julienne-ed vegetables, curry meatballs quite deelish, and tres leches awesome end to a wonderful dining experience! Beautiful presentations of all. Highly recommend any time you’re near Coconut Grove! Buen provecho!!!
