Boy was I in for a surprise when visiting Crudos in Wynwood Miami recently. First, I should mention that Wynwood is an amazing area as hip and progressive as could be. I would describe it as a young Williamsburg Brooklyn, because it too was all industrial before turning into an artists haven with galleries everywhere, all the walls are adorned by stylish graffiti and you'll even find cryptic messages spray painted onto the pavement on the sidewalk. I visited the area a few times but decided to make my way to Crudos Fusion Art after passing by it one day and deciding that it looked like a must-try. My suspicion that the place is awesome was confirmed quick. Before even ordering any dishes my cocktail (their pina-colada) was delivered to me sprinkled with microscopic little candy's and some cotton candy on top to add to its Miami style flamboyance and sweetness - it was a real treat. After experiencing this sweet and creative alcoholic concoction I basically decided to try several of their dishes. It's certainly fair to say that the executive chef and owner Edixon Hernandez is just as gifted in terms of artistic talent as are some of the amazing artists whose pieces adorn the walls of the greatest galleries in Wynwood. I took the initiative and introduced myself. I learned that it took many years experience in the restaurant business for the proprietors of this place to establish what it currently is; a cozy, urban and laid back environment which is essentially a factory for far-out yet delectable Asian and South American fusion dishes. All ingredients are natural and pennies aren't pinched here, everything is sourced from the finest of regions. Even their cocktails are made with an in-house cold press juicer - no canned crap. Many come to the area to check out Wynwood Walls and while there should go around the block to indulge in what is another amazing artful experience at this restaurant. The short rib dish came with Bao buns (my favorite) is marinated and cooked Sousvide style on low heat (about 125) for a very long time and placed with Paprika, chilly base, soy sauce, cinnamon (yeah cinnamon), cumin & sesame oil in a vacuum seal for 48 hours. I understood, after the Tuna tar-tar came out that I was truly in for a delightful experience. This, not just cause it was superbly delish but because it was served in an interesting glass tube-like plate which came with smoke emanating out of it. The sushi I had was to die for, exotic, delicious, colorful and fresh. The food here can be described as daringly progressive, "Far-out" creations for the connoisseur of artistic edible creations. And then came the octopus. I will not share Edixon's secret but trust that the deliciousness of this can be only attributed to skill and culinary know-how. You can bet this here connoisseur of finer things will damn sure be coming back while in the area. See full video review here - Critic[DOT]fm/crudos-fusion-art-review/

I have eaten at Crudos both dine-in and picking up food for an office order. The first was on a Saturday. Just walked in with a friend after having read about the restaurant opening in the Miami New Times the week before. I decided to check it out and really glad I did. My friend ordered the Ramen burger, I ordered the steak noodles and we got the pork belly buns to share. We also got the lemonade. Everything was delicious! The service was great, very attentive. It was a great meal to enjoy at the actual location, definitely recommend stopping by to check it out! I had told my office about this place and since Fridays we order for the office, we decided to get Crudos. My office is in Wynwood and they are so close! I had called with anticipation of the restaurant opening since I had a large order to place, I wanted to check how to go about it. Luckily Ryan picked up my call and was super helpful. Thanks for the chef for taking our order early and getting our lunch done fast! They don't deliver directly, but they seem to do UberEats, however, we went to pick it up. It's right next door to Federal Donuts and Concrete Beach Brewery. My office LOVED all of their food and we will definitely be ordering again in the future. There is a service charge of 18% regardless it seems, but since we were a large order, and they "opened" earlier for us, and labeled all our dishes, we were all very happy with the whole experience. The food and prices vary by dish, so there's something for everyone. If you're in Wynwood, definitely stop by!

This place is already a landmark in Wynwood. The ceviche (geisha and ahi tuna) were both perfectly flavored and fresh. The octopus was divine. The steak sushi roll was super yummy. Everything was overwhelmingly good. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I was looking for a unique stop on our VIP FAM tour for the Greater Miami Convention & Visitor's Bureau and their Meeting Planner guests and found Crudos on Instagram. I asked my Product Development Manager to check them out and not only were they able to accommodate our group, but were excited to provide a unique experience for them filled with surprises. Kudos to Crudos! We look forward to partnering with you again in the future.
