Great sandwiches and baked goods, coffee isn't anything to talk about. Staff is usually friendly but I've definitely caught some of them on an off day. CASH ONLY!

What a cozy little hidden place. Glad thar we found it just happened to walk by. All were very cheap and all bakeries that we bought were good especially their croissants. They just melt in your mouth. They were buttery and so soft, just the way we like it.

I really like this tiny, quaint bakery! my boss loves their cow puddles, so typically we end up getting a ton of them at a time. located across the street from the Safeway, this little bakery now takes credit cards via Square & cash. super convenient for me now as I don't have to take cash with me anymore. I took a ton of photos, but I didn't realize until afterwards, they have a sign that said no cell phones :x sorry! their baked goods are always good. cow puddles are these chewy, addicting cookies made with some decadent brown butter. I also bought a honey bun for myself and a sugar cookie for my daughter. she really enjoyed it as it was a cute little purple horse! the chocolate croissants were so good. I wouldn't compare them to an actual French one, but good for what you're getting. I honestly had to stop looking as I wanted to buy everything myself (pregnancy cravings). great little stop for anyone in the area!

Great food and friendly staff. Very fair prices. The type of place you could be waiting in line with a DC lawyer in front of you and country folk behind you. It brings everyone in. 5⭐️

Best place ever. Classic place and it represents Middleburg in all it's glory. Hasn't changed since it's opening in the 70's Same family owned . Scott is an awesome boss dedicated to excellent service and the sweetest personal behind the counter. They take good care of me and everyone else.

The baked goods at this place are definitely worth it! Everything from pasteries to donuts to bread loaves are great for a quick stop on your way through or to use in your daily recipes at home.

We found the Upper Crust after we moved to this area several years ago. We have always enjoyed the sandwiches and baked goods. Today was a special treat - we tried the "Rosy O'Grady" pie. This fantastic pie is a perfect combination of Cherries, Blueberries, and Peaches with a perfect top and bottom crust. The next time you are in the Middleburg area, stop in and do yourself a favor and look for this pie on the pie table. If you're lucky, we will not have bought the last one and you can try it!! You won't be disappointed!

What a perfect little bakery!! Sandwiches all looked amazing and topped with homemade bread. I suggest the wheat! Though hopefully I’ll get to go back soon and try the rye! So big i only ate half. So many different types of pies, but get there early or you might miss out. But if you do still So many yummy treats!! I don’t know how they manage to do it all!!

Over the years my work has allowed me to travel the globe and I have always enjoyed popping into the local bakery or bistro. The Upper Crust is by far the best bakery experience I’ve ever had. The cookies are incredible, always fresh and made with excellent quality ingredients. The U.C. has a local, homey vibe and the prices are very, very reasonable. Some days folks are lined up out the door, some mornings I’ve been in and out in less than 5 minutes… if there is a wait, you will not be disappointed! The lightly iced Horse sugar cookie at $1.35 (seriously?!) is a bargain, that should not be missed! It is baked to perfection, golden bottom with slightly crisp edges and a soft center. Upper Crust pies and croissants are on par with Le Cordon Bleu, or your favorite Aunt’s recipe. Middleburg is quite fortunate to have such an outstanding bakery. Grab a croissant 🥐 it’s truly a divine experience.
