Wow. That's all I can really say! I'm glad there is a place like this close to me. The best beef brisket around, period. The pulled pork is really excellent too. I can't wait to try the smoked chicken wings! That beef brisket + the in house mustard sauce = heaven!!! :)
We were aimlessly driving south from Dayton and my wife found this place through a Groupon. We have had barbecue almost everywhere, including Austin, TX and this place rivals them all. Easily the best BBQ in the area. Even our 2 year old couldn’t get enough and kept eating it like a bottomless pit. All of the sauces were very good as well, we will definitely be making a return visit! We also spent about $17 to feed 2 adults and 1 kid, which included 2 bottles of water.

BBQ isn't something that I crave and it's not even a favorite of mine. But OMG, the shredded beef brisket sandwich is the best I've ever had. And this is coming from someone who has dined at Slow's BBQ in Detroit, which has received national recognition.

Never disappointed. Sweet tea is right, atmosphere is right, food is spot on. Great place don't pass it up. We used to visit this place from out of town and it actually played a part in us deciding to move to Middletown.

It was absolutely the cutest atmosphere! The waitress was so so kind and helpful! The pork nachos were the best thing I’ve tasted. My husband said the brisket was “slap your momma good”!! � The portions were VERY big and prices extremely reasonable. We’ve found a new favorite restaurant. Thank you! � � ���

I went in for the tork dutt to put on my rump roast. Daniel glazed my meat to perfection. I was so tumped I let a tart and was so embarrassed. Dancing hippie Amy beat my pork so tender and I put sanz all over my ribs.
Simply amazing, blown away. Ribs fall off the bone, best green beans l have ever tasted you have to try this place out, be sure to tell all of your friends, you won't be disappointed!!
My only complaint, is that Combs BBQ can’t get in my mouth quick enough.
Just went for our first time last weekend. The food was delicious and the staff was courteous and helpful. A return visit will be happening soon.

1st time since moving from Georgia that we have found a BBQ place that tastes like down home southern BBQ....will definitely be going back!!!!!
This was our first time eating at Combs BBQ and it won’t be our last!! We moved from GA over a year ago and I had wanted to go for awhile so happy we finally went!! Pulled pork sandwich with their own mustard sauce was amazing!! We will be repeat customers! Staff was so friendly! Thanks again Combs!!

Best pulled pork sandwich Ive ever had, Plus great green beans and corn bread to boot. Price is very affordable and customer service is out of site. We will be back many times for this food.

Nice little BBQ joint with cool decor. Nachos are the best to share. Keep it simple with the pulled pork. You won't be disappointed! Patio is nice in summer.
I've been reading and hearing a lot about this place, so I decided to give it a try. It's in the middle of a neighborhood and it's a really cool building inside and out. The food was all outstanding! The ribs were the fall off the bone kind that I love and that's hard to find at most bbq spots, pork was great, and so was the Mac and cheese. The only thing that could have pushed it to a perfect rating was if the bun on the pulled pork was toasted or had some kind of crunch to it.
My family and I frequent Comb's BBQ and absolutely love it. We've had many events catered by Comb's as well and honestly have no complaints! The quality of meat is also great. Much more consistent than other BBQ places. I've only had the mac and cheese, but it is delicious!
Nice spot. The interior and exterior have a very nostalgic look to them, with a bunch of guitars and classic rock memorabilia everywhere and several neon signs. The food itself was pretty great as well. The ribs were tender and the sides were clearly scratch-made and flavorful. I found the brisket dry, but I can forgive that as most people fail to make a brisket properly. All in all a great spot. Stick with the pork and you'll have a great meal. Hopefully we can see more restaurants like this come to Middletown!

This place is small but pack a punch in taste. OMG, love the beef brisket and baked beans, delicious. The place is a bit hidden but locals come in. Lunch our today was busy, but we got taken care promptly by friendly staff.
Had a blast here. Small BBQ joint but wow...the brisket was phenomenal. There's not much when it comes to service (seating seems more there for your convenience) but the baked beans were best in class. Not a single complaint here.

Long story short I tried the other BBQ place before coming here. The difference is daylight and dark! I ordered the beef brisket at the other so-called BBQ restaurant and I threw 3/4th of it in the trash. It was disgusting! The next day I decided to give Combs a try. OMG THE BEEF BRISKET WAS SO GOOD! I'm not big on giving glowing reviews unless they are well deserved. And Combs deserves a glowing review. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you give Combs a try I promise you will not regret it. As for that other so-called BBQ restaurant in town don't waste your money. Combs on the other hand totally AMAZING!!!

Mouth watering aromas greet you on the street & the food backs up the anticipation once inside.
The ribs, when they don't sell out, are my go to meal. So tender & juicy they fall off the bone. I've never been dissatisfied with the mac n cheese or jalapeno cornbread either. My partner usually opts for a pulled pork sandwich with mac & chips. Always a winner!

I would really rate this a 3.5 stars.
The sandwich- overall it was decent the brisket had good texture and a great dmoke ring but lacked smoke flavor. By the time I got to the car the bottom bun was soggy and the BBQ sauce taste like Arby's sauce. But the most important part was the meat and I'd eat it again
Mac n cheese- overall good flavor but lacked salt n pepper
Potato salad- was good old fashioned style Potato salad again lacked salt n pepper.
I will return and give it a 2nd chance
A quick drive from Miami University Regionals Middletown campus, this is my go-to lunch place. Smokey pulled pork meets a sweet and tangy sauce. Paired with a soda and a side of delicious Mac-and-cheese … you can’t go wrong. Ample street and parking in the back. Friendly service and a nostalgic inside decor. Be sure to ask about the owner’s father, Keith Combs and which signs and guitars are his creations.
That's the first time I visited Combs BBQ. My wife and I went there and took our dinner home with us. That's the quickest I've ever seen my wife eat. That was out of hunger and how much she liked it. I had the nachos with pork and it is excellent. I'll eat it again for lunch tomorrow. I mean it's two meals in one. I recommend this place highly for anybody. Here's a few pictures too.
Enjoyed it tremendously! Just go, soak in the ambience, and enjoy the succulent brisket and baked beans with a hint of spicy. Next time, can't wait to try the pulled pork tacos....
Amazing BBQ! Good pricing, cool atmosphere. The ribs and brisket were tender and pull-apart. Love the three sauce flavors, sweet bbq, tangy bbq and a unique mustard. Sides are out of this world! I tried the green beans and mac and cheese. Will definitely be returning!
This is the best barbeque I have ever eaten. I will take any excuse I can to go to Comb's. This place should be on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives; it's certainly a dive, and Guy Fieri would love the meats, sides, and blues rock style of this place. Although I have a tough time choosing just one menu item, I'd recommend the ribs to anyone. They are fall off the bone amazing with the perfect sauce to go along with them. The green beans are also SO GOOD here. Finally, someone knows how to cook (and season!) green beans! The service here is also really fast for being such a small business. I give Comb's a 6 out of 5 stars. It is truly a haven for barbeque lovers.
The one complaint I have about this place is that they are always, without fail, out of something whenever we make it there.
That said, the food you can get, is delicious.
Good food but one lady doing orders tried to pull a fast one on me and trick me into tipping her. Sorry, im not tipping you $5/$6 for handing me a bag at the register. You didnt do anything lol.
My oh my!!! I love finding awesome hidden gems of local towns. The awesomeness of this place started with the very nice woman taking orders, she was just so patient with us since it was our first time. We had the wings, ribs, pulled pork sliders, mac n cheese and green beans. Everything was fantastic! The wings just blew us away and I can see why they sell out most nights. Next time we will be trying the brisket that I hear is really good also.
