Our 1st time! New to the area! Food was excellent and portions were HUGE! Our waiter was phenomenal. I think his name was David???? Shoot, it's been too many days and I'm blanking. He had dark hair and a terrific smile. We can't wait to come back. I wanna try everything on the huge menu!!! Hope we get our same waiter again!!! Loved his personality ❤️ and he did a great job!

The place is under new management and it seems to be running pretty good. The wait for us to get a table was about 30 minutes but it was during the dinner rush. The place is cozy inside with a mix of booth and table seating. The bonus is it has a small bar inside and outside with additional seating outside in like a patio type setting.
The staff was friendly and we’re definitely working.
The food was good and the prices reasonable. The chicken marsala was good but the marsala sauce was a bit too gravy like for me. The two chicken breasts were done and not dry. The rice was standard and good. The grilled broccoli was delicious.
The other item we got was a skewer bucket. You get a choice of chicken, steak or shrimp in any combination for 6 skewers. We did three shrimp and three steak. The shrimp was flavorful but a bit over done. The steak was well done but not overdone. The grilled vegetables were delicious as well.

Overall, the place was good and will be seeing us again.
The burgers here are amazing, fresh burger daily from Tom’s meats! Our family loves supporting local businesses that are supporting local businesses!!!
They have one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had! Great friendly service. Good local beer and ingredients. Did I mention the hot chicken sandwich 🤌? So good!
Awesome food, delicious drinks, and amazing service! We had the pleasure of having Bobby as our server tonight & she went above & beyond to make sure that we had the best dinner experience possible! We sat outside & the atmosphere was lovely. Our kids were getting restless & Bobby went out of her way to make sure they had crayons & coloring books.
I would highly recommend the watermelon basil martini & lake perch, but everything was delicious 😋 we will definitely be back & request Bobby as our server!!

Nice varied menu with a lot of hamburger options, steaks, walleye fish and ribs. Salads are excellent too. Friends love steaks here

We are here on vacation from Florida, and this was our first time at the Sand Bar, and we were very impressed. We ate outside because it was very nice out. The new owner went around to each table, introducing herself and asking her customers a little bit about themselves. We could tell she was genuinely interested. The food was wonderful. I had the pan-fried Walleye, my boyfriend had a burger we were both very pleased with our food. The owner then came back to each table and asked everyone how they liked their food. We feel this is very important for owners and managers to do, especially in these times. Prices are so high everywhere you go. Restaurant owners really can't help but charge a lot because their suppliers charge them so much. But the important thing is that their customers are happy with the quality of the food they are paying for, and this is exactly what should be done if they want returning customers. So many places we go into these days never even come back to your table after serving you because they don't want to know how you liked your food, because they know that they are not sending out good food, and they don't want the feedback. Way to go, Sand Bar and Grill, you are doing a wonderful job. I wish you and your family the best.
Recently moved into the area. This was our first time dinning here. It was highly recommended by a couple of coworkers. We weren't disappointed.. We will be heading here more often
Tried this place today! It was fantastic. We were promptly greeted when we walked in. Seated immediately and our server was friendly and very attentive. Our food was delivered quickly and everything we had was exceptional. The owner came over a couple of times to check on us. Will definitely be back.
Was in for dinner tonight (Monday) . I got the kabob bucket and it was amazing!!! Our service was prompt, friendly and accommodating. We have had her before and she was wonderful then as well. Keep up the great work !!!
The food here is simply outstanding. The service was even better. Our waitress was beyond great. She had an awesome personality and a sense of humor to match. I highly recommend this place.
Great atmosphere for eats and drinks. Bang Bang shrimp is fantastic. Bar service was super friendly and helpful. Will go back to try other new menu items!
My husband and I went here while we were staying in town down the road. They were out of the steak I ordered so I had to get a sirloin instead. But the food was very good so it wasn't that much of a disappointment. The waitress made me a mixed drink and it was very good and she ended up giving it to me for free! I thought that was very kind of her. My husband liked his walleye and he gave me a bite and it had good flavor but I had four bones in my bite. I don't know if that's typical but it wasn't appetizing to me.
After 3 times visiting the Sand Bar with the previous owners, we said we'd never go back. Horrible experiences. Now with new ownership we thought we would give it a try. We really enjoyed it this time. Food was good, and the new owner sat down and talked with us for a while. Navy veteran, who really has some great vision for improving the restaurant. As a vet myself, I always like supporting other veterans. We will for sure be back.

The food and atmosphere were both very good but the service was even better! I screwed up and threw out the paper that had our waitresses' name on it, but we were a party of eight, and we had that young lady running her booty off, and she did GREAT!
My only negative feelings about this particular restaurant would have to be that they do not have a menu (kind of) that you can hold in your hands. You have to "QR CODE" your menu, so if you do not have a 12 year old handy that can help you, then you may have a tough time.
This is a very good restaurant and I am sure that you will enjoy everything about it as we did. Thank you to the staff at Sand Bar and Grill for the pleasant evening we had in your restaurant.
