Was in Midway to pick up some art. Happened to stop in to Jean's for dinner. Could not have asked for a better experience. Fast friendly service. The hot brown dinner was to die for and then if it couldn't get any better the Apple Cobbler was over the top. Well worth the 1.5 trip. Defiantly will be back.
Onion rings and raspberry iced tea were fabulous. We both really liked the house salad. Baked potato casserole was delicious. Fish and chips were good while the t-bone was exceptional. We requested to be seated outside and it was a lovely June evening. We were so full we decided to spilt the blackberry cobbler ala mode! YUM. In addition our server was exceptional and fun. Great night.

We enjoyed everything about Darlin' Jean's from the very welcoming hostess to our delightful waitress! The food was great, the service was perfect, especially when we asked to move inside after starting outside! It is a wonderful spot for lunch, add it to your "must try" list!
What a cute place! Stellar service, the patio was quaint and comfortable, and the food was pretty good. One tip: a dash of hot sauce perfected the firecracker shrimp. ;)
I started eating at Darlin Jean's when they only had 7 or 8 tables. The food and service is as good now as it was then. I haven't been in town for several years, walked in last night and the waitress (Joy) knew my drink preference and how I liked my bagel melt cooked. It just doesn't bet any better than this place. I always make a point to stop by when I'm in town.
I love the atmosphere here. It's my favorite place to have a nice family supper. The people are always really nice and the food is to die for.
Stopped in for lunch and I'll have to say it was the best lunch I've had in a long time. The wait staff was polite and efficient. It was a home run with us after a 9 day vacation of eh food
Very good food and excellent service!! My wife raved about her Monte Cristo sandwich, I had the coconut chicken salad which was very good!!

My wife and I are semi-regular customers, coming in at least once a month or so.
Always excellent service, and last night especially so.
Normally we don't visit on the busy times, but we were hungry last night, a Friday, driving home from Frankfort to Lexington, and enjoyed wonderful Fish & Chips (this is a Scotsman saying this!)
After the meal, I accidentally left my bank card on the table, but 2 of the staff caught up with us and returned it to me. Thank you so very much!!!
Just need to get the Yuengling back on tap!
After an afternoon drive to enjoy a warm January day we stopped for a quick late lunch. The chef salad and BBQ chicken salad were both fresh and very good....will try the hot brown next time! We recommend this out of the way treasure. ...
