It was terrific. Pretty space, welcoming people. Coat hooks available. We had the egg and crisps - really delicious. Soft poached egg shaken in a bag of rosemary potato chips. We also had the comte cheese with figs and prosciutto and merlot vinegar gel - so delicious! The special was duck in curry - wowza! Rick had the char, which was also excellent. Then the frozen chocolate mousse - addictive. The cloud cake was great, too. We ordered coffee, which came in its own french press - and a timer, so we knew when to push down. They really have thought of many details that make dining there a pleasure. Staff was friendly and attentive in the best way. I recommend it.

I went with eight people and sat upstairs, this place is outstanding. We had small and large plates, monk fish, duck, venison, short ribs. I fine dine regularly and this place is 5 stars all the way.

We went to Common Lot last Friday with a group of 12 and had an AMAZING experience. We loved the laid back atmosphere, the communal table, superb service and the open concept kitchen. To start, our table shared a few orders of the Crisps with Egg, the Hassleback Potato with the Burrata cheese and bacon marmalade, Beef Tartare and the Slow Cooked Duck Egg Spatzle. One dish was better than the next. For our main course, my husband and I both ordered the Sirloin. It was dry aged in-house, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Others in my party ordered the Braised Duck Raju with Gnocchi, the Ribeye for Two, the Whole Roasted Market Fish for Two and the Bass Filet. In the end, everyone ended up sharing their main dishes with the table because everything was just so delicious. For dessert, I had the vanilla rice pudding with pistachio and plum brandy sorbet. This rice pudding is to die for! I am still dreaming about it. This restaurant is a gem in New Jersey and is not to be missed!

I have been a handful of times and every time we have been it has been a pleasure. I have been with my boyfriend and I to a party of 8 guests and each time they executed the service perfectly. The food has been consistently outstanding every time. James, Morgan and Alex are all extremely accommodating and very hospitable. I recommend ordering as many small plates to share and end with the lamb, it is so good! I am planning to be a loyal patron to Common Lot and super excited to see whats in the works for new menu items! Keep it up guys!

If only I lived next door. This place is bad ass! The entire staff are awesome. The food was beyond outstanding. The wife and I declared this our new spot - and we’ve been looking for 3 years for a new one. The only thing that might get me looking forward to next winter (yes already) is what will be on Common Lot’s seasonal menu. For now, I look forward to Spring (as if we needed another reason). Thanks for opening such a great spot!

Excellent food. Great atmosphere! Highly recommend it. They even served us late which was such a perk in NJ to go to a place that wasn't shut down at 9:40!

An outstanding restaurant. The food is inventive and so very tasty, and the customer service is outstanding. I have been there 4 times now, I think, and the staff recognizes me, knows what's new since the last time I was there, and remembers food preferences. Really well done and as I said, incredible food.

Not only is the food delicious but the design of the restaurant is stunning! I attended a soft opening party last night and was so impressed with everything, but especially the gracious owners and well-attentive staff. Welcome to Millburn. We are so excited to have this gem of a restaurant in our town.

So we decided to try this venue put for our first time. We drove about an hour and change to get here on time and were surprised of the quaint beautiful setting we entered into. The host was magnificent in greeting us and our waiter just as much. We enjoyed every moment and course of our Prix Fix Meal on a Friday Night! The food was amazing right down from the 1st course to desert. If you haven't been here we recommend you come in and try it yourself. The food, service and BYOB makes it so worth the drive. As you all know we've tried hundreds of restaurants but this one had some options which jumped up to #1 on categories. The Branzino is definitely my all time favorite and the Rissoto is insane. You need to try this place out. Take a drive and enjoy. Just make sure to reserve ahead of time.

Excellent place. I came here on a Friday night for their pre fix menu. The decor is very chic and cool but laid back. The food is innovative and exciting . Just beware of the goat cheese salad it’s extremely potent. The service is decent and the place is overall clean and neat. Just how I like it.

Very nice experience, reminds me Changa of İstanbul (which is a fond memory now as it’s been closed). Offers a nicely balanced prix fixe menu on fridays and saturdays. Risotto, lamb and cod were especially good. Don’t forget to BYOW.

This restaurant was amazing. From the such warm greeting front he host when we arrived to the wonderful service it was great throughout. The food choices on the ore fixe menu were all interesting and carefully thought out. It was a great deal. Would definitely come here again. We also enjoy their breakfast when they are offering that. It is byob. Must try!

Great first experience with Common Lot on a Saturday night. Everything on the price fixe menu looked decadent and delicious. We all enjoyed the duck confit cassoulet. It was rich and succulent. The black truffle risotto was comforting. And I scraped every last bit of the sticky date pudding out of the bowl. We'll be back!

Cool place. Small venue with a focused kitchen staff. Had the testing menu with some wine (it’s byob). Front of house staff is great, welcoming. Can’t complain for the price. If you want a nyc experience in nj this is the closest you’ll get I reckon. I would’ve preferred a slightly quieter dining room but they were going for a cool hip place which is totally fine, and my preference is only just that. Would recommend.
