First time coming to the new location. What a pleasant surprise. The previous location was "cozy", and this one is so spacious and inviting. Friendly staff that greeted us with smiles. Waitstaff was friendly and efficient. (thanks Alexa). Got us our water, and hot beverages, then some time to decide which of the many tasty sounding brunch items we would pick. Ordered the Fall Salad (roasted sweet potatoes and parsnips - yum) and the Breakfast Burrito. Both were very good, made made fresh and served hot. We saved room for the Magic Mystery Pecan Pie (think cheesecake meets pecan pie). We will definately be back. Probably to try the dinner menu.

This is a nice restaurant that is very spacious. Our waitress was very friendly and explained the menu pretty well. We had the hopple people skillet and a mushroom melt sandwich. The mushroom melt sandwich was incredible. However, the hopple popple didn’t have much bacon which an extra side of bacon had to be ordered. The pie selection was huge. There was a lot of slices to choose from.

Nice place for brunch or to come for pie. Good amount of seating and nicely decorated inside. The patio is cute but has a bee problem in late summer so just be aware. The food has been good both times I’ve visited so it’s consistent. Noise level is pretty loud and on this day a LOT of glass was broken…I’m talking at least 7 different times I heard glass breaking

Was a wonderful experience coming here. Came in on a whim to try some of there pie, which my girlfriend said was, and I quote, "The BEST pie I've ever had!" She had a slice of the lemon pie, and it was similar in texture to the key lime. Staff were super sweet, we came in 40 minutes before closing and they assured us we weren't a bother. Would come in again, the soup was killer!

Confy place, breakfast and lunch served and variety of cream and fruit pies. I had a sandwich and they were able to change side fries for salad but it had soo much dressing. Pies look amazing but too sweet in mi opinion, fruit pie is missing the fruit acidity. Portions are very generous. Place is small and a little loud and the floor vibrates so I stayed for over an hour and I could feel people walking, it kind of annoyed me. Employees are nice and helpful and there is street parking in front of the place.

The atmosphere at Honeypie immediately attracts your attention. The vision for a cozy diner is masterfully executed and makes you feel at home. Service was warm and friendly; everyone shared in the responsibilities of service. Overall, service was the bare minimum; our table's coffee and water wasn't refilled unless we asked. But we were never ignored. The food was really tasty, save for a few odd ingredient choices. I ordered Short Rib Hash and my brother ordered the Chilaquiles. We split a pair of corn muffins. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was hot. Short Rib Hash was mostly meat with potatoes and other ingredients to compliment it. I truly felt I got my money's worth and it was delicious. Tender braised short ribs served with a well balanced horseradish cream on the side. The chilaquiles weren't very authentic but the flavor was decent. I was not a fan of the plain black beans on top, nor the choice of Tostitos-like chips. But the house chorizo had great flavor, and overall the dish was not bad by any means. Their pies are what really did it for me. We tried both Pistachio Cream and Salted Honey Pie. Both were masterfully prepared. The pistachio tasted like pistachio without the lime green dye or almond extract you find in "pistachio" desserts. It wasn't too sweet and the saltiness of the graham crust was a perfect contrast. The Salted Honey Pie had fantastic honey flavor with enough salt to balance it out and a wonderful flakey crust. This one was on the sweeter side but not cloying. Overall, Honeypie Cafe was a nice surprise. The food was really good. They take creative liberties with their food that I may not like, but I definitely appreciate and respect. They provide pies for a few other cafés in Milwaukee. I felt cozy while eating good food. What else could you want?

I like the atmosphere here. You can tell whoever decorated the interior put a lot of thought into it. It has a very relaxed homey vibe to it. Lots of plants and cool decor all over the place. The food is pretty good! The short rib had plenty of meat and was balanced well and definitely the better of the two dishes that were ordered. The horseradish cream was a nice touch and they leave it on the side for those who might not like it. The chilaquiles was decent but could be improved. I think refried black beans or something that wasn’t just plain black beans would be a better option. I expected triangle tortilla chips but instead got round theater-style nacho chips which was a let down. The only redeeming quality was the house chorizo which was good. The tomatillo salsa was too acidic because it was just tomatillos in the salsa from what I could taste. Some jalapeños or something else would have balanced that out. The hostess here was really friendly and pleasant! Our waitress was nice as well but the service overall was just okay. Maybe they’re short staffed because we wouldn’t see our server for a long time. Because of that we couldn’t even flag them down if we needed something or when we were ready to pay. Someone else that wasn’t our original server took our check and was gone with our credit card for 10 minutes. Not saying they’re doing anything sketchy but when someone takes your card out of sight for that long it definitely isn’t building any trust with the customer. I would definitely come here again and try something else. A lot of other dishes that I saw being brought to other tables looked awesome. I just think I ordered the wrong thing. Also, don’t sleep on the pies. They’re good.

The best pulled pork/ham croissant I have ever had hands down. There was some confusion at the front on where we go to be seated (people were waiting at the bakery counter) and the staff seems very burn-out/understaffed. Lots of confusion on the patio about who goes where. Food was quick and the waiter was kind and attentive.

Very delicious small little Qwaint breakfast place in downtown Milwaukee. We both got the bacon, eggs and potatoes and it was delicious. We also got the homemade biscuits and cornbread which was also very fresh and delicious. Don’t forget to go home with a slice of delicious cherry pie.

Went here for brunch, great atmosphere and good food. I got the bowl, tons of flavor and tasted good, however it was pretty salty so if salt isn't your thing, ask for low sodium. The nitro coffee was good too.

Excellent brunch! Would highly recommend to any one. Cozy, yet stylish interior with breakfast bar as well as a delightful patio in the back. Have been here on multiple occasions and the service has been reliably top notch. I’ve only tried their brunch, but everything I’ve had by them so far has been quite good! Oh and don’t forget to order a slice of pie to go!

We went here for our joint bachelor party, we had a large group of 13. We weren’t able to sit together, but we knew that going in. Having called ahead, they were able to accommodate and give us a few tables together. We had our best meal here, for real. Breakfast casserole, if you are a carnivore. Since we were celebrating our bachelor/bachelorette party they sent us a full pie! Extremely grateful for the hospitality, environment, and good vibes!

Honeypie burger was absolutely perfect. The key lime pie was so good that I ordered it to go and ended up eating it in the car because I just wanted "one bite". 😆 Staff was super friendly, the building is beautiful and the restaurant was spotless. 10/10 would recommend.

EXCELLENT! From the service all the way to the dessert, this place is just pure excellence. I’m from Texas, and have been looking for some comfort food that reminds me of home, and this place delivered. That’s not to say it’s specifically Southern or anything, but the Honeypie Burger could probably give anyone a nostalgic feeling. The fries are delicious as well. I love that they have vegetarian and vegan options as well. I had some pie for dessert, and it was exceptional. It’s not too sweet which is why it’s so good. I will definitely be returning.

We go to Honeypie regularly; it's one of our faves! Right now the mushroom melt and the fall risotto are our go-to items on the menu. If we're lucky they have the best pie in the world available: Milwaukee Mud!! The staff takes good care of us, and we were especially impressed by *Rachel's positivity and helpfulness* during our last visit. Keep up the great work, Honeypie!

French onion soup was absolutely stellar. Best I’ve had in almost two years; made slightly cold pot roast forgivable, & the pistachio pie was also really solid. I don’t remember our waitress’s name but super friendly & attentive for only her second shift ever.

First time here and I will be coming back! Service was decent, not all that great. Our breakfast was fantastic though. I got the Ham Biscuit, I substituted the ham for sausage, and had my eggs over hard instead of sunny. The mornay sauce was phenomenal, but it kept me from being able to eat my biscuit like a sandwich. The sauce made the biscuit soggy so I couldn’t hold it with my hands. Next time I’ll order the mornay sauce on the side but overall it was a great dish! My mom got the French Toast and she said they were delicious. We also got the Two Farm Eggs Anyway. Unfortunately, the roasted potatoes were extremely salty, there was a lot of salt on those and we weren’t able to eat them.
