I ordered the Chicken Pipian and chips and Guacamole. The portion sizes were perfect for the price. I’m not a big fan of mole, but this was delicious. The guacamole was fresh and the order was ready within minutes even using GrubHub. So happy I found this gem in my neighborhood, I’ll definitely be back again!
The best kind of food comes from restaurants like this -- tiny, family owned. Lovely atmosphere, delightful owners. The rice and beans are perfect and the guacamole is perfection. Will definitely be coming back!
It's not a fancy place but the owners are super friendly, can't do enough for you and they know what they're doing. Both the Mexican and Guatemalan food are amazing and don't forget to ask for salsa and chips. They have some of the very best salsa I've ever tasted.

This place is SSSSOOOOOOOO good. We love it. The people who run it are really sweet, and the food is off the charts good. We ordered a "to go" meal, and got chips and salsa while we waited. HIGHLY recommend!

El mejor chile relleno de mi vida...this was the best chile relleno I've ever had. It had the right combination of heat, egg coating ang cheese. My husband loved his chicken enchiladas. You can tell the tortillas are made in house and the chicken was very juicy.
So good! Everything is wonderful and the service is excellent. I just had their jambalaya--sooo good! The portion is huge, and it's full of chicken, shrimp, and smoked sausage. It could easily feed a small family, but you won't want to share!

Had the lunch special this time. The beef tacos were excellent. I didn’t need to add salsa. Very tasty. I love David’s beans. The homemade salsa has the right amount of spice for me and I love the fact that it’s fresh.
Seriously, this place is a little hole in the wall, but it is SO delicious. Didn't feel like cooking tonight so I ordered tacos al pastor - which is always my go to at Mexican restaurants - and I can honestly say they were the BEST tacos al pastor I have ever had. YUM. We will continue to order from Mara's anytime we're in the mood for Mexican!
The spot is tiny but offers great food! There's a bit of room to dine in, but I saw many folks order take out. I ordered the enchiladas de espinaca and it had tons of flavor and was very good. The rice and beans had great flavor too.

Excellent food! We always get it to go for lunches. Inside isn't really large enough to dine in comfortably with more than 2 people, but for a great lunch pickup spot. I highly recommend!

We love this place, it’s the perfect neighborhood restaurant! We order delivery frequently on Grubhub. The food is always fresh and hot, the portions are great, and they get our order correct every time. Don’t forget to get a piece of their Tres Leches cake.
Driving around Milwaukee with my lady doing some house hunting and we were so very fortunate to stumble upon this fully authentic little establishment. Soon as we walked in, our bellies started rumbling. You can't fake that wholesome smell!!!. Super friendly couple behind the counter took our orders, offered recommendations, and smiled the whole time. This restaurant is the exact time of place that needs the communities support during these down times. I know we'll be back. You should definitely try them out!!!!

Stumbled upon this place after searching YELP and decided to give it a try. SO glad we did! It's very small, but staff is friendly and they do takeout. It's a mix of Guatemalan and Mexican food. I had the Guatemalan mole and it was absolutely delicious! My boyfriend had the shrimp burrito and that was also delicious. Everything was so fresh! I think we found a new go-to spot.
I loved my meal here. It was fresh, well made, delicious and Mara was so kind. The salsa was the best I've had in MKE, the chips were delicious, and she made me a vegetarian burrito that was seriously one of the best I've had. I even liked that she came out of the kitchen and asked me how the meal was. Hopefully enough people will hear about her place so she can get a bigger dining room with ambience. But for now, I want to spread the word that Mara knows how to make seriously great food.

The cheese/onion enchiladas and ground beef chimichangas were out of this world! Chips guac and salsa also smacked! 10/10 coming back!

They should do better tamales ( real) that's all but chiles rellenos are really good.
Excellent home cooked meals. Seating is very limited so I usually do takeout. Everything on the menu is a repeatable dish and very authentic ethnic recipes. Family owned and operated which I love. I highly recommend giving them a try! (Delivery is an option through grubhub only) Also, they are in a multi business location so parking is a premium but it's well worth any hassle you might encounter.

Love this place. Have been going here for years! Don’t go in anymore because I just order from Grubhub. Love the chicken enchiladas, soooo good. The sauce is amazing! My older son loves the tacos here, my second oldest loves the tres leches cake , third child devours the rice and beans and my youngest loves the flautas. Will continue eating here, best Mexican food on this part of town.
