Great food and good service for the price. 4 star rating. From a Bloody Mary critic, it was great. Even worth going back there just for Bloody Mary. The menu could be less confusing, and struggles with substituting side dishes. Chicken was ok, but I wouldn't order tot over the other meats
What a great spot! We came in to pick up take-out and it was good BBQ. Enjoyed the sauces. Smallish portions but if you order two meats it was enough.
I worked in the bar for several years& always enjoyed eating and serving this delicious quality food. Wonderful staff - professional fast service. Teriffic happy hour specials, I give busters a 10
Love it!. Busters was our first new favorite after we moved here from California in February of this year. I have tried the sausage (hot), pulled pork, brisket and the baby back ribs. The ribs are my favorite but was happy with all of the above. The only sides I've tried have been the salad (fresh lettuce and good bleu cheese dressing) and baked potato (right size and cooked perfectly). The Texas toast is quite cood as well. The baby backs were delicious and I didn't even put any sauce on them. I've tried the hot bbq sauce and found it pretty tasty. Haven't been back in a little while because I've started a no sugar/low carb diet LOL! :o( I certainly will go back once this strict phase is over and have ribs minus the sauce and salad. We took my aunt when she came to visit and she liked it as well. It's a fave!
Brisket was OK. Baked potato was nice but the rest was not great
The meat is good but skip the sides. I think they come directly from a can!
Came here for the southern barbecue. My friend told me this is the best southern barbecue in Portland , and he was right!!! We ordered the brisket, pulled pork, full sack of pork ribs and sausages. This is the best pork ribs I’ve ever tasted! The sauce was good too. The brisket has such a good flavor smoked in, but it shows better in the fatter pieces. Recommended to get all the above ☝️
Best BBQ in the NW! Brisket Sandwich on toast with their spicy BBQ sauce! Absolutely amazing! Great smoky flavor! They also make their own ranch dressing which is a must for your salad or dipping your fries!
Being a Texan in Oregon visiting family; my Mom wanted to go to get "Texas Barbecue" I was skeptical but the food was very good the brisket was not greasy and the service was prompt and polite. Their sauces are made inhouse and we're also very good.
Great Barbecue with a very rustic atmosphere. Kind of what you would expect for a BBQ joint that has been in business for so long. I would rather have them concentrate on making good food than worry about what the place looks like as long as it is clean.
Grab a tray and tell them what you want is a good way to do it. You can see what you are getting and I am sure that it is all good. I had the 3 spare rib combo with brisket, baked beans and potato salad and my wife had 3 sides, potato salad, Cole slaw and mac and cheese. A really good meal. The best part was the Pecan pie!
Super good and worth the trip from anywhere.
They had a good sized parking lot and plenty of seating inside. looks like they also do to-go orders.
We will be back to try some other choices and for the Pecan pie.
I do Uber deliveries quite frequently at this location the staff are always nice it is clean smells great and you're welcome with a smile and that says a lot these days
I ordered the brisket and sausage plate! The brisket was tender and pulled apart perfectly… the sausage was flavorful… this Texas boy was happy I found a bbq joint up here!
We've been coming here for over 30 years. Food is always consistently good, as is the service. They clearly take care of their staff based on the longevity of some of their employees.
Great BBQ and staff was their usual cheerful self's. Ask questions if you need help and they will be most helpful!! Try different choices!!
Good service , nice and cool on a hot day, good food except the chicken who is almost all time slightly uncooked.
Good country music makes a nice atmosphere. Remember "A place where to "meat"
smells great in there, beef ribs were a tiny bit dry and there was someone's hair in my mashed potatoes but other than that they were both delicious, I'll definitely come back and try more meats for sure (I see why they call themselves a vegetarian's worst nightmare, lol, the green beans were pretty boring to be honest). no masks in sight, unfortunately
This has been my favorite place to eat since I can remember going to reataurants. Its old fashioned, calm, quiet, relaxing. The decor consists of old saddles and farm equipment, cow skulls, old paintings of cowboys, and of course the western stars. Real wood tables and old fashioned cushy leather booths and chairs. The servers are always very nice and so are the cooks. I have never had food here that I didn't love. All their meat actually tastes smoked, awesome flavor in all of their sauces and food. Fresh salad bar to add to sandwiches. Best place ever.
