I stopped in here while sightseeing around Portland and Milwaukie in 2017, and really dug the atmosphere. I was the only customer in the place, and was fairly hungry after walking around Portland, and wanted something that'd stick to my ribs. I was not disappointed. I ordered some chowder, the clams, and a cobbler and left stuffed. The food itself was good. If you are expecting a gourmet meal, go somewhere else. This is simple diner/bar fare and it did what it did well. I don't know the deep lore of Milwaukie, but given the decor, I could tell Libbie's had been around feeding the community for a while. That's not a dig against the place. I hope it keeps it's atmosphere as long as possible, but some people might be put off. If you walk in and check your expectations, you'll be happy.

The food is great for the price. The server is overworked, because they are understaffed. But whoever is working does a great job, by herself! Nothing fancy, but old fashioned, down home, cozy!

Stopped by for breakfast on a Sunday. It was self seating and the wait staff was on the ball when we sat down. The breakfast was good, nothing special but good traditional breakfast. My only complaint would be that we felt ignored after our food was delivered. All in all, I recommend coming here, and we will be back.

The best strawberry lemonade I've ever had! Comfy little diner in downtown Milwaukie, with delicious food and reasonable prices. Fluffy pancakes, and I'm excited to go back and try the clam chowder.

Food is excellent. Need more wait staff. One server was overworked. Still recommend for good basic breakfast food.

I have been coming here for 20 plus years. Great little Milwaukie restaurant and bar, with great food selections. Classic diner food, good service. I recommend the breakfast omelets and anything with seafood! Love the bar as well, bloody marys are great.

If you want to take a food trip back to the 70s and 80s, here it is. Over large menus, all made with the best intention. Great staff. Just to be clear, the food is ok. Price are good.

Great local diner with a mean cornbeef and hash. Worth checking out - reminded me of southern style diners.

This was an old standard place loved by the people of Milwaukie. I hadn't been there for a while. Great dish of Fettuccine- so yummy. Sauce was perfect, flavor and consistency was perfect. The only thing was, I ate it all and wished I had twice as much. Next time, I get a double order. The Onion Rings, now one of my favorite places to get onion rings. Too many times I have been disappointed by other place's onion rings. Libby has crunchy tasty batter and the onions inside were juicy. Highly recommend the food - it's still wonderful, fresh, amazing. The bloody Marys are best next door at the old bar - we went there afterwards. I had an amazing day visiting there. Sat at the bar and ate such a nice meal with my people from Milwaukie. One of my best days if my life.

Biscuits. Gravy. Perfection. How often do you see those three words together? Not often enough, I say. Go to Libbie's. I have no idea who Libbie is but holy god does she make a darn fine breakfast.

Met my friend for Eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary in the lounge on a Sunday. If you are looking for a clean diner but a dive bar vibe, this is the place.
