Love the burgers! Is our must stop everytime we're in Minneapolis. The burgers medium are amazing. Love the flatliner, or the mushroom and Swiss. My husband also loves the roadhouse steak burger if you're really hungry.
Bloody Mary's are really good as well.
I enjoyed the vibe of Ike's. Service was slow, even for an early weekday lunch. Everyone ordered burgers with different levels of done and they nailed it for all three. The egg was mostly cooked, I enjoy my eggs over easy on burgers. It was all flavorful. The warm chocolate chip cookies after the meal were great!
Our food and drinks were amazing and the restaurant had a great atmosphere but the service was even better! I believe our servers name was Dena and she was amazing. She went above and beyond to to make it a memorable evening!
Perfectly cooked, absolutely fabulous burger (I ordered medium, partner got medium well, both cooked to order in textbook fashion). The meat was high quality, juicy, and accompanied by the perfect toppings on an incredibly soft and delicious bun. Maybe some of the best french fries I've ever eaten, and tangy Cole slaw to boot. Excellent friendly service, a variety of creative and fun choices on the menu, and a casual vibe in a great setting. Definitely a choice location for your American eats in downtown Minneapolis!
The best burgers I have ever had have been eaten at Ike's. A great little spot. Try the Roadhouse Burger if you are in for dinner. The regular burger they serve during brunch is amazing as well.

Best place for a birthday lunch...huge 4 layer chocolate cake with a steak knife through it! Of course you can eat there at anytime. Excellent patty melt! Burgers are huge!
We decided at the last minute to go to Ikes, it has been years since been there was very very good. Had the patty melt was done very well. We went away full great atmosphere as well. Take the time to rediscover Ikes. You will be pleased .

The service is always fantastic and the drinks are done well. Menu has a little bit of everything American. The weekend brunch is really good as well. The giant cinnamon roll makes it worth it alone! On the visit for this review I ordered the baby back ribs. Nice and tender with just enough sauce. Got a little messy but not overly. Someone at our table got a poor cut of meat which was taken care of promptly without question. All in all, a wonderful experience and some fresh cookies to go.
Went for dinner at Ike's downtown before seeing Book of Mormon at the Orpheum. Had not been to Ike's before and I'm so glad we tried it! The service was outstanding from the host to our server. I had a burger and it was honestly one of the best burgers I've had in Minneapolis! It was prepared and tasted like a true steakhouse burger. My friend had the crab cakes app and she said it was delicious. We had limited time since we had to get to the show, so we didn't order anything elaborate or dessert, but they gave us warm chocolate chip cookies with our bill! We both agreed, we would definitely go back!
Delicious food, great selection of beers, comfortable setting. It was a welcome break from the commotion of downtown Minneapolis.
Roadhouse burger is amazing! One of the best burgers in Minneapolis in my opinion. Sometimes a challenge to get a lunch reservation but I've never had a problem just walking in. Old style steakhouse environment with great food....and warm chocolate chip cookies to finish. What more could you ask for?
Went here for dinner, was good and a lot of food. Not a ton of options, veggie burger was good but very difficult to eat. It's literally a big portabella mushroom slab with some other veggies in it. Seemed like a good place for a first date or date night with the older cool atmosphere inside.
Wonderfully quiet place to eat! Great atmosphere and service. My wife and I were impressed that everything we had was homemade, even her french dressing. Prices very reasonable. We would like to go back and have the steak special which is a good deal. Great place to go on any budget. You will get your money's worth!
Had breakfast here for two days while in town for business. Food is great diner quality fare with crispy shredded hash browns. My omelette on day one was packed with fresh vegetables and sausage and the bennie on day two was served on a well toasted muffin with silky hollandaise. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Coffee was good not great. Highly recommended.
