I came here with 2 others tonight, and had a fantastic meal. We started off with a sampler tray of their cold salads - they were all delicious (truly!), but I have to say the eggplant, bell peppers, and zucchini were my favorites. We also got to try their marinated olives, which were very tasty. We then moved on to share both the beef and chicken tagines, along with the vegetarian couscous. The couscous was sooo good, and super satisfying, even for a meat-eater like myself. The chicken tagine had a really nice, lemony flavor, with crispy skin, and super tender meat. The combination of the seasoned chicken, that sauce, and the fries was so bright and flavorful. My favorite, though, had to be the beef tagine... super tender, perfectly season chunks of beef, complemented with apricots, prunes, and almonds, over some nice turmeric rice. We finished the meal with some nice, hot mint tea, which I bet would even be nice over ice. I know I'm gushing a bit here, but I'd really been looking forward to finding some casual North African food in the twin cities. This hit the mark - simple menu with an excellent variety of dishes and distinct, bold, bright flavors, which are highlights of what I really like about Moroccan food. Also, each of the dishes we ordered was under $10! Super reasonable! I'll definitely be back, and recommend that you check it out, too! Thanks, Moroccan Flavors!

I love this restaurant so much! I grew up in Minneapolis and studied abroad in Morocco in 2010 and this is undoubtedly my most beloved addition to the local food scene. Moroccan Flavors reminds me of my home away from home and gives me a taste of the most sincere hospitality I've ever experienced with the lovely owners greeting me with a smile and a few words of Arabic. The food is authentic although served in rice bowls rather than with bread and the dishes are spiced and very flavorful, I always get a mix of salads with either tajine or couscous, along with the oranges in rose water, olives and mint tea. Moroccan cuisine is traditionally served family style and eaten communally, so get a few dishes and share! The owners are incredibly friendly and hospitable and the food is delicious and somehow the presence of this restaurant makes me feel at home and at peace in a way I can't begin to articulate. They have lots of vegan and gluten free menu options and they are eager to cater to various dietaries. The food is affordable, the atmosphere is casual, and it adds some diversity to the cuisine from all around the world that Midtown Global Market is known for. I can't recommend this place more highly!

First time having Moroccan food! Delightful and so aromatic! As a first time eater, Hassan, the chef and owner gave me a brief overview! I decided to go with the Salad Sampler and received a bit of all the various sides and salads available. The shredded carrots with rose water was unlike any flavor profile I have ever experienced! I made sure everyone at my table tried a bit! Yum yum. And the lemon rinds, in some sort of pickled sauce, was refreshing with a tart pinch and sweet finish at the same time! Because my husband loves his meats, we ordered the Tagine braised beef. Again, the aromatic journey our senses took was magnificent! The beef was tender and caused a mouth watering explosion. The dried apricots, figs and blanched almonds made an excellent pairing! I will be searching recipes to humbly replicate! I will definitely be back to Moroccan Flavors! And I will be bringing my daughter, a 3-year-old exotic eater. Thank you, Hassan. It was a magical food experience I will not soon forget!

My boyfriend and I stopped here last night for the first time - the food was delicious and the service was amazing!! The owner/chef was extremely nice and hospitable, which I think will really set itself apart from the other restaurant options in the Global Market. I had the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Morocco about 5 years ago and have been waiting for some Moroccan food to finally come to Minneapolis! We had the chicken couscous and chicken tagine - great authentic flavor and large portions!! The french fries were also amazing along with the traditional hot mint tea - brought back so many great memories! I hope this place stays around and will eventually bring in other traditional dishes that include lamb and camel :) We will definitely be back!

Stopped by late morning and got the Chicken Couscous - Braised. The chef prepared our meal with care and attention to detail. The flavors were wonderful, especially the caramelized onions which topped the dish. Would definitely recommend this gem tucked away in the corner of Midtown Market.

Amazing food--the mixed salad includes vegetables that are so fresh and perfectly spiced. The portions are large, and the meats are tender and flavorful. The service is lovely, and the pottery (from Blue Gate Pottery) is a beautiful touch. Can't be missed!

Great mix of familiar flavors, yet flavors we have never had before. Tried the sampler and loved every part of it. And the meatballs and rice dish was comfort food with a twist for our Midwestern palettes. The chutney was flavors of Christmas, yet blended with all the other flavor. The warm colors in their space added to the overall experience. Approachable for all ages. Our two-year-old tried everything and enjoyed most everything she tried. Definitely going back.

The food is both authentic and good, but it can be even great if the food temperature was right. What this place gets right: spices, authenticity, quick service. What could easily be improved are the side dishes. I ordered the beef couscous. The dish comes with the slow brazed beef and fine, hot couscous, in addition to the coarse, cold couscous salad, a green salad, red peppers, and olives. All of these side dishes taste very good but they're cold, coming straight out of the fridge. What you end up with is a mixed cold/hot dish.

Casual dining. Counter service, but delivered to your table. The person working there was by himself. I am not sure how he did it all! He was the sweetest man. Everything was delicious. Even though it is not near us, I will definitely go again! I am in fact going to order the vegetable platter to serve with our Christmas day meal.

The food is delicious. Tastes home cooked, with love. Fresh ingredients, great flavor profiles, lovely presentation. They recently catered for an event with 75 people - they were on time for pickup, and had it perfectly packed up and ready to go. The owner is very kind and generous - he treats you like your best friends, and the food is delicious, flavorful, and colorful. Brilliant.

Moroccan Flavors is by far one of my local places I love to eat at. Not only is the owner very detail orientated, but the execution of the flavors is outstanding! Their Moroccan Olives are outstanding, the couscous will make you come back for more. I could write a short novel on the intricacies of flavor and how good this restaurant is.

The food is delicious and very presentable. It really feels like they put their heart and passion into the food. They don't slop it all in there like other places do. The food tastes quite fresh not like it's sitting around all day. So I don't mind waiting around while they cook it. Nice respectful people there that I'm glad to support small businesses and pay my money to. The Moroccan flavor and food options is very good. I encourage you look at the menu and try it.

Hassan was very pleasant and hospitable to us today. The food and his generosity were top-notch. I would recommend his restaurant without hesitation. You'll find him inside the Marketplace on Lake Street. Parking is cheap, and there are a ton of vendors. You'll also enjoy his Moroccan food at the brewery on Thursday nights for the weekly date night special.

Wow is all I can say! This was a hidden gem and I'm so happy I was able to try the food here. Me and my friends finished every bite on our plates, everything was incredibly delicious! The service was incredible too. Our food was brought out to us, we received a separate complementary plate of hot sauce, and then they helped clear away the dishes. If I lived in Minneapolis, I'd be a repeat customer. Highly recommend trying their vegetarian options. Thank you for this experience!!
