You walk in, gab a salad from the cooler and a tray.  Put in your dressing of choice then order your steak or food.  By the time you're finished with your salad and had a few sips of your drink your  steak is brought out to you with a baked tater with butter and a slice of buttered Texas toast.  It's my first time here and I don't know why it's taken me so long to stop in, maybe the decor which is 1970's diner or that it's in a little strip mall.  The steak came out within just a few minutes cooked to order, tasty, easy to cut and quite flavorful.   The baked potato was soft and fluffy.   I'm not a huge steak eater but this was delish!   It's a no frills kinda place for certain and I'll be back!

The steak here really is great and delivers flavor and tenderness you won't find at some places for three times the price.

The atmosphere is truly blue collar. This is for a feast with your buddies or a family dinner out, not to impress a client or a date.

Truly a blue-collar steak house. Walk in, grab a food tray, and walk through cafeteria style to pick the steak you want cooked. It's greasy steak and potatoes, but the restaurant is surprisingly clean! Want a super casual steak and beer, come here.

When you do a search for the best steak houses in the Twin Cities, you will be shown places like Manny's, Capital Grill, and Murray's. You would however being doing a disservice to the community to not consider visiting the Best Steak House. This is a no frills, no flash, old school cafeteria style steak house. Upon entering you grab your tray, utensils, salad, and dessert and move down the line to the register where you place your order and grab your drinks. There is no wait staff, so you just grab a table and soak in the atmosphere. We enjoyed our salads and drinks while we waited for about 10 minutes for the food to arrive. My wife and I got the steak and shrimp combo, steak and BBQ ribs combo, a side of mushrooms, two salads, two Texas toasts, and two beers for just under 40 bucks. The steak was seasoned perfectly, juicy, and cooked medium per our request. The ribs, while certainly not competition level BBQ, were tender and had a nice char from the grill. Fall off the bone ribs, very tasty. The portions were generous, everything was hot, fresh, and had a great flavor. If you are someone who needs to be treated like a king at dinner and requires two different types of forks, please do not come here. If you are looking for an honest, affordable, and high quality steak dinner this is your spot. My only complaint is that I didn't come here sooner, I will definitely be returning with friends.

Update: this place has been closed every time I've stopped by. The phone is disconnected and a sign on the door just says closed. I hope it's temporary, this was my Wednesday lunch spot. First time here and now a life long customer. The prices are amazing and the food if superb for what you pay for. I walked in spending less then 9$ to get a sandwich fries and a drink. The staff were very nice; decore is dated but with good comfort food, who cares. Enjoy burgers, euros, salads or dinner items like ribeye steak and cake slices. I was blown away; I thought it was going to be adequate food and higher prices but damn if I won't be back again soon.

No frills steakhouse, recommended to come hungry. The steak is seasoned well, the Texas toast is buttery, the salad doesn't take anything away from the meal. Dining room is open.

What a great place. Won't find better steak for the price. I recommend the ribeye. Comes with a potato, salad, and Texas toast. Food is served quickly and staff is very polite and friendly. They have chicken as well as gyros, but I say go with steak whenever steak is an option. I ordered medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked. As did my date's.

Read a lot reviews and i had the ribeye special along with the rest of my family and everythibg was real good great flavor on the steak cooked just right, salad was fresh, potatoes were good and of course the texas toast was good. Had dessert and it tasted great. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was cafeteria style but it was very nice. Will definitely be going back. Great price and good food.

This place is one of many dine-in spots that I like to call a gem in the wall! I’ve been coming to this place since I was 10 years old and it has never disappointed.

Best steak on a budget! You get a steak, salad, potato, and toast all for $15! You simply can't beat that!

This place looks like not much from outside, but don't be deceived, the flavor of this steak is delicious!

not what you expect when you hear “steak house” but the steak was AMAZING. gives you mexican/cafeteria vibes but the cooks sure know what they’re doing. I had a wonderful piece of meat that was cooked to medium rare perfection! Better than most fancy joints. 101% recommend. (i had the porterhouse) prices are good too.

This is one of our favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurants. We love the staff - and the food is really good for the price. Not a high-end red velvet and mood lighting steak place by any means, but friendly, unpretentious, and always tasty.

They do such a good business. That the meat and seafood is always fresh! I like the seating they have some tables marked do not sit here! You get to choose if you want a salad or not. I like the oven baked potatoes! There is a wide variety of meats & seafood! Go there if you don't like it! I don't know what to say!

Today we have a t-bone steak special and it was absolutely the best better than outback where some of the other higher-priced places. Absolutely rocking! And there's tons of other good food here too. The cheese sticks are absolutely tasting like they were $15 cheese sticks. Nice little family restaurant is werth the visit. definitely
