Possibly the best quiche I’ve had in my life! To be clear, quiche isn’t exactly a go to for me but they hit the red pepper and caramelized onion quiche out of the park, will be coming back. The coffee was also delicious and the staff was undeniably kinda and welcoming.
First time here by chance. Already a long queue formed by the time I got there by 8am. Great indicator of an excellent eating establishment.
Having been there six or more times has let us taste a variety of things. I’m a taker for the soups and sandwiches. I’ve also had the Mushroom & Thyme Quiche for lunch and will order it again.
All the pastries look tantalizing, and we certainly trust their baking skills and recommendations.
The scones have great texture. I Iove how there is a “crunch” to the crust. The blueberry scones may be my favorite, but they are all worth trying. Like all scones, go early and get them fresh out of the oven for the best If you like flavored croissants, try the almond and chocolate croissants – even the "plain" croissants are excellent. For chocolate lovers, both the Caramel Chocolate Dome, and Flourless Chocolate (GF) with chocolate mousse are fabulous sweet delicacies.
Upon high recommendation to try the Gingerbread Stout Beer muffin, we did. Shockingly, amazingly good! When you want to serve cinnamon rolls for breakfast, they have an excellent recipe. I prefer the pecan ones. The lemon squares here are the very best in the Twin Cities. You can secure a table both inside and outside.
The coffee is okay. It is nice that we can buy scone dough to take home and bake fresh for guests. The bakery staff are very helpful and know their product. We’ve always been able to easily find a parking spot. Margo, we miss you in Excelsior but are glad we can still find you. Thank you so much for running a stellar European-like patisserie business.
Highly recommended.

This is a lovely place. I was looking for a new bakery to check out and found this one. Parking was decent, they had a spot just for people visiting the bakery. That was cool! So I walked into the building and it was bustling with customers. That is always a good sign to me. I looked around, I saw that they serve one of my favorite espresso drinks, a Miel! So I already knew I'd be getting one of those for sure. The pastry area had so many options that looked so good!! I was on the search for a few delicious treats to bring to my child's favorite teacher. I saw many, so I decided to get a good selection of sweet treats! The lady that was helping me choose was a very awesome person!! She talked me into getting a cherry tart as well 😋. She put all my items in a box and told me "Well don't you have a beautiful box here!" I agreed it looked delightful. I let her know I'd be getting a Meil also, she made my drink lovingly. She actually looked as if you enjoyed the process of making the drink. When you enjoy what you do it makes it taste SO much better. Extra cinnamon, a little on the sweeter side with the honey and she came over and poured the steamed milk in my cup in front of me. That seemed very genuine. I let her know I appreciated her service.
As for the desserts, they are so delicious honestly. I was in love with the Panna cotta. I forgot to get a picture of that but the balance of the mildly sweet custard with the tart mango 🥭 puree was awesome 👍🏽, the chocolate dome dessert was to die for!! The other treats went to our favorite teacher!! She told me they were wonderful and really hit the spot for her.
So overall, great customer service, atmosphere was lovely and the food a delight. Will I return YES!!! If you haven't been there, you need to try it for yourself.
It's such a cute place! Great coffee and the sourdough is amazing! I also love the ham and cheese croissant!
My friends and I are very particular about traditional French baked goods, particularly croissants. A few months ago, we conducted a rigorous comparative analysis of all the local purveyors of croissants, and Margo won, hands down, by unanimous vote among the three of us. We all independently agreed that hers are just about perfect.
Bellecour does a fairly decent job, but theirs rate as a distant second to Margo's. Others were pleasant but nothing beyond the workaday. Furthermore, Margo charges considerably less than her competition. When I asked her about that price discrepancy, she said that she keeps her prices lower out of concern for her customers. Good golly! What more could one ask for?
Excellent pastry shop selling delicious treats like kouign-amann, danishes, and more. Good coffee too.
I had a wonderful experience working with Patisserie Margo. They were able to accommodate my small order with just 5 days notice when other bakeries in the area refused. I emailed back and forth about what I was looking for and Margarita was so helpful.
The cookies turned out very cute. They were buttery and tasty as well.
I definitely recommend and will definitely return.
Very good flourless chocolate cake. The buttermilk vanilla cake with buttercream frosting is dense, creamy, melt in your mouth delicious! It is not overly sweet! My husband decided it wasn’t sweet enough and he wanted Costco cake 😂 💀😭
You do need to leave it out for 5 hours prior to serving, for the frosting and cake to soften.
The almond croissant is really good, the raspberry muffins are the best. The eclairs are OK
Patisserie Margo is a neighborhood gem tucked into an unassuming little strip mall. I crave their Cherry Chocolate Chip Muffins, which do not skimp on the chocolate or cherries! The croissants, bars and seasonal/specialty treats are all great too. I just wish they were open Sundays & Mondays!
Great pasterie place! It is now saved as a favorite on my google maps!
The croissants were amazing, flaky and airy! Coffee Miel was perfect hint of cinnamon honey and milk.
Oh and the price… everything (picture attached) and coffee for $30. Worth it!
Been many times for some carry out pastries. Well above average croissants and scones. Today we stopped for lunch. The sandwich menu has the classics and I opted for ham on a baguette. Solid no-frills sammie and pairing it with the lentil Italian sausage soup was a winner.
This little bakery and coffee shop has a great atmosphere with extremely kind and gentle employees. Their baked goods are good, but overpriced. Coffee and soups are great- also overpriced. Overall, it’s worth the visit but be prepared to pay an extra dime or two.
The scones here are as good as they come as far as I am concerned and that goes for all the other pastries of theirs I have had.
What an amazing little gem! My husband and I came here for the first time today and the baked goods were wonderful (he had a donut and I had a cherry almond scone - highly recommend!!) and the coffee just perfect. And Margo is SO welcoming and sweet! We loved our experience here and can’t wait to come back! Bonus: super reasonable prices ($15 for our 4 items, including tip!)
I like going to bakeries and Margo was the one on my lists. Basically their almond and ham and cheese croissants were good. Also I think the price is quite affordable compared to other bakeries in uptown so I like here a lot and I think I'll visit again and again.
I’ve been wanting to check this patisserie out for a while and I finally got the opportunity. I am so glad I stopped. The location is a bit off the beaten track in an unassuming strip of shops. From the exterior you would not expect that the treats that awaited you inside were going to be authentic and stellar. They were. I ordered a few croissants and scones, which were delicious - top notch and perfectly made. I look forward to my next visit and am aiming to go when they are serving beignets. I can already taste the awesomeness.
