Aside from their downright overwhelming selection of loose leaf tea, they always have something I want on tap, have anticipated I want that particular tea, and have started pouring it before I've reached the counter. They're very good at their jobs, mind readers, or both!
Love this place! I go in and sample the teas if the day. And after choosing one, they help with loose teas to take home and make another day. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I can’t say enough about how great their customer service is. I placed an order online a few weeks back, but noticed it had gotten a little lost in the USPS system. Not only did Sandy work with me to try and figure out the shipping mystery, she came *to my apartment* on a *Saturday* to drop off what was originally in my order in person. Oh, and of the course the tea itself is great quality. Definitely recommend!

Great shop, the employees are very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. The online shop is pretty nice too, although I greatly prefer shopping in person so you're able to sample and smell the teas. Hands down, this is my favorite place to buy tea. They have a huge variety of teas to pick from, and I haven't had a single one yet that I didn't like.
This place is excellent! As a first time loose leaf tea person, I walked right up and told them I know absolutely nothing. The staff was so nice and willing to show me the ropes/talk through everything. I bought a couple different types to help expand my knowledge and try them out at home. They have so many varieties I will definitely be back!
Great selection, with teas in all price ranges. Everything seemed like a fair or good deal. I felt like I had plenty of time to shop around, and was given a discount both for being a student and for buying in moderate bulk. I bought a decent amount of loose tea, and the employee threw in a sample of their favorite oolong.
Likely my favorite shop in the skyway. I'll definitely return!

My boyfriend likes herbal teas and I used to buy the grocery store kind (boxes of herbal teas), once I started working downtown Minneapolis I discovered The Northern Lights Tea Company store located in the skyway, so I started buying tea from them. My boyfriend LOVES their herbal teas (he can't have caffeine), before the safe at home order was issued I used to go to the store in the skyway and stock up on teas, everyone at the store is sooooo helpful, knowledgeable and super nice. Now that the safe at home order is in place I just order the teas online and have them delivered. Did I mention that my boyfriend LOVES them? His favorite is strawberry-kiwi. I was never much of a tea drinker, well thanks to The Northern Lights Tea Company I am one now, my favorite is Tropical Sky. We currently have 12-four ounce pouches of different kinds of herbal teas. HIGHLY recommend this place, thank goodness we can order online and they ship, otherwise we'd be in trouble.... I've even ordered tea for my sister who loves tea and had it shipped to her to Brainerd, MN and also recommended it to a friend of mine located in Cincinnati, Ohio. You've never had tea until you have The Northern Lights Tea Company tea!
I discovered NLTC during a short work trip to Minneapolis - and then I went back 3 times while I was in town. Now I order all of my tea from them. They have a great variety of delicious teas and they always ship so quickly! I’m a big fan!
Stopped here during my daily walk in the skyway and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Being new to the MN area I am having to get use to the non-friendly service but this place def has lovely charm and warmth. Picked up a few teas and can't wait to try them. Had some iced tea to-go that was so refreshing. This is a def win in my book.
The shop keeper was very knowledgeable and helped me pick out a trio of teas for some friends with specific tastes. East location in the skyway too. Overall, great tea spot.
A really great place staffed by very kind and professional people. They'll learn your name and always have a good chat. Not to mention you get to try a million different teas you can't try anywhere else. Love this place.
Everyone is incredibly nice and knows their tea! They have daily tea specials or pick from the large book of selections to have it brewed for you or take some home. If you frequent the downtown area, check out their punch cards. ❤️🫖

Very tasty tea. Great place for buying bulk. I'd also recommend coming for their daily, happy hour teas. They typically have one cold tea and three hot teas. You're able to order just a cup of tea (cold/hot) of any of their lose leaf as well.

Wonderful proper tea with a large selection and quality flavor. If you feel you are a tea idealist it is worth your time. Black teas are bold without being overwhelming. The owner is lovely to chat with while your tea steeps.
I absolutely love this place. I work downtown and keep my deck stocked with an ounce or two of loose tea (try the green kukicha, it the best low-caffeine tea for the afternoons!) and they always have tasty varieties on tap when I want to try something new.
I was there today with some friends and had a great experience. Eric was knowledgeable, friendly, and handled our big group with ease and grace. They have a wonderful selection of teas to choose from.
Best gem in the skyway! I miss the days that I worked downtown and lived connected into the skyways. I still find my way over and make sure I stop in for great tea and the kind service.
