Fast service and good food. Large portions great for sharing. I loved the fried rice and beef pepper steak The chicken and vegetables were not my favorite ...something to do with the texture ...it had good flavor. Will definitely go back.

I was happy to discover this place where it's tasty Chinese food served family style with a course of soup and appetizers. We went with the typical Mongolian beef, and sweet and sour pork and both got a thumbs up. Simple dishes, their appetizers and soup were the stars of the meal. it made me want to try something more adventurous from a chef specialty section. Clean, and bright settings, it's Chinese with a lot of class. Friendly staff I had nothing negative about this restaurant

I have always liked this place. The owners, servers and staff are friendly. I continue to buy their food because I want to be able to go back after Covid. I hope everyone is doing the same. Try their hot tea when that happens. Also their hot mustard is unbelievable. Don't use your normal amount as it will clear or tear several passageways when it hits. I love their less known dishes and they have lots of them such as their house garlic special. A lighter brown sauce that has an amazing flavor served with the meat of your choice. By the way almost all their dishes are customizable with your preference of meat, veggies, tofu, veggies, seafood or nothing at all. Their moo shoo is awesome. They have a pork cooked 3 times dish and their sizzling rice soup which are very simple and delicious. I love that they remember me and give me extra sweet and sour for the kids and make sure I have enough fortune cookies for everyone. Help support them through Covid and let's hope they are here another 20 years.
Owners are so nice & staff is super friendly & accommodating. Best Chinese food! I'm very picky in Chinese food because a lot of the major chains hurt my stomach but Lakeside's food is clean & fresh - doesn't mess with my tummy.
This is the best Chinese restaurant that I have found in this area. It is very relaxing, the service is the best, and the food is outstanding. We go there to enjoy not having to rush through a meal - it isn't "fast food". Take-out has always been great -- order, drive to the restaurant and everything is ready and the order is always correct.
First time ordering from here and totally worth every penny. I ordered the szechwan chicken, cause I mean why not?! That was delicious, along the with the rice and egg drop soup when you make it a combo. My girlfriend ordered the house special chicken, and I almost wanted to switch with her, but I always hold true to my szechwan!
Literally my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. We have been going here since 1997 and it's just as good as it's always been. Wendy and her family own the restaurant and are always so welcoming and friendly.
I would highly recommend you go here. It's always better to eat there but takeout is still really good.

If you like Chinese food you'll love Lakeside Chinese! It's probably the best Chinese food in Mission Viejo. Get the family dinner and you won't be able to eat it all!

Our extended kitchen, my husband's restaurant for a long time. He is well served by them and they are all nice, friendly people specially the Owner. Foods are all delicious..
We have eaten here for a million years. They even deliver. The service is great and I love the food. The ambiance is relaxing. I work for a Doctor and patients always ask where a good place to eat is and I always refer them the Lakeside. They always come back and thank me and also rave about it.
