The concept is very similar to Chipotle where you go down the assembly line and create your bowl/burrito/salad/whatever. I like how fresh everything tastes, and they have different ingredients than Chipotle. I live right around that area, and I wish they would offer coupons or discounts. It's a little pricey, and I wish they would offer smaller servings as a discounted price, or a daily combo/special, etc.

I've been an aficionado of Chipotle Mexican Grill the same day they opened their doors in the early 2000's and have remained a loyal fan since. Though I could never complain about their food quality or employees, their corporate philosophy has left a bad taste in the aggregate mouths of my friends and me. Primarily, Chipotle maintains high decibel music and subzero room temperatures for the sole purpose of truncating conversation with the intended effect of turning over tables quickly. Less you fault me for such harsh criticism, the forgoing was the rationale articulated to me and my small group after suggesting to the manager that a less deafening volume and glacial temperature would be appreciated for the short span of our visit. Her response was pithy and absolute. Were it up to her, she'd "do something," but her managerial hands were tied by corporate regulations. "Cold" and "loud" were the operative, requisite environs for Chipotle customers. After closing our collective jaws, we finished our savory burritos (in dutiful breakneck speed) while agreeing that Chipotle was not the sort of group friendly dining establishment that neither solicited or desired our future patronage. We have not retuned to Chipotle since - as a group. I have continued to frequent Chipotle, but only with my teenage son who loves it loud and frigid. To wit, who's to say Chipotle does not know it's target market...? With this background in mind...along comes Two Madres. Big deal. A Chipotle knockoff, right? Not quite. Not by a long shot. Yes, the Two Madres' design/layout and regimen is a near identical reproduction of Chipotle. Regardless, this is were the comparison ends. Other than the initial ambient deje vu, the contrast between the completing eateries could not be any more stark. For me and my homies (who currently number eleven), Two Madres is the clear winner, manos down. Variety for variety sake is legion and is generally a harbinger of inferior fare, not to mention the squandering of money invested on tenet improvements. Two Madres is the exception. They're diversity is served with flair and flavor - extraordinarily so. How about Gilled Pineapple Salsa? Fiesta rice! Hibiscus-Citrus or Honey Pomegranate Vinaigrette!! An assortment of nuts, seven delectable salsas, rotisserie chicken that's out of this world, tender garlic lime steak, mild Ono fish, and crisp mixed veggies!! This is just the beginning! Even their "chips" are exceptional! Just wait to you sit down and take your first bite. Not only will you wonder why someone didn't think of offering such phenomenal choices before, you'll be planning what you'll try on your next visit. Two Madres is remarkably good. Oh, as to the temperature and volume, the room was comfortable, the music was conversational, and the post-order service (which is non-existent at Chipotle), is timely, caring and genuine. When food and service is this outstanding, it's a shame that Yelp's rating is limited to five stars.
