We loved this restaurant. The food was delicious! Perfectly seasoned. The jerk chicken was super moist and tender. We also had the curry chicken.. Which was so flavorful it was unreal. Jerk wings.... With jerk sauce on top! Everything was wonderful. The sides were also very good. The cabbage was tender and well seasoned. Mac'n cheese... Very good. Yellow rice... Wonderful... Rice and beans... So tasty. We will be back on Friday to try the specials. Treat yourself to something different and wonderful!
Very tasty beef patties. Nice owner/operator also. Support local businesses and go try some oxtail!
Fantastic. We went in and just told him to decide what to serve us and it was great. We tried the curry chicken the jerk chicken the jerk ribs and the brown stew chicken. Best decision all day.
AWESOME!!! Got jerk chicken + yellow rice + cabbage, box full o'deliciousness for around $10, plus guy serving was über-friendly, loved all the Bob Marley posters & he sang Rastafarian tunes, will def be back!!!
Dabomb.com. Their food is awesome! Jerk chicken and cabbage are delicious!
Great first experience with Jamaican food. I had goat for the first time, and it was amazing. My husband had the ribs, and I tried them. They could go up against Zea's ribs. The mac and cheese is the best in Mobile. I bought it for my kid, and stole half of it.
EXCELLENT. Awesome... a friend turned me on to this place... goat curry! awesome.
his ribs are something to behold, together with that sauce he makes up... i am always SORELY disappointed if he's out of ribs. WAY better than the brick pit!!!
love his veggie pie (i'm a carnivore, so anything veggie is not for me - usually) which does never make it home LOL
tv is usually very quiet, which is great - i hate places i can't hear conversation b/c the danged tv is so loud!
noel is ALWAY fun and friendly. this place is CLEAN, open, and inviting.
love the place.
FANTASTIC !!. Noel, the owner made me a special plate with a little of everything. The curry goat and ox tails were the bomb !
Sorrell, was just as I remembered. I've been back several times and the quality and quantity were both great.
Real Carribean Experience. As I walk in , the chef (and owner, I assume) tells me he is out of rice but will cook some more. -- the cheapest part of nearly every plate he serves, and he runs out -- and I was the only customer in the joint.
I have spent some time in the Carribean, and have an affection for Carribean people, but truthfully, they don't always have it together when it comes to business. (read the early V.S. Naipaul novels for a local's similar view)
Not bothered by this because I quickly realize this place is for real, and needed to go to a drug store anyway, so I say I will come back. But for a snack, I ask for a Patty, like a meat pie. (pronouncing it correctly Pah-tee, no emphasis on either syllable) Well, he's out until Monday -- it is a Thursday -- no patty for the week-end. .
When I come back, there are a few other customers there, one is a cop and all have a serious Jamacian accent . This place is for real.
The Jerk chicken was cooked well, with a nice sauce over it, but NOT AS HOT as other jerk I have had. The stewed chicken was like what southerners know well, with some spices we don't use. Not hot either.
If I go back with a little more time, I will try some of the cooked to order dishes.
Good, it's not efficient, it's real. No problem. Go, don't be in a hurry , enjoy the food, imagine you are in some island paradise.
I love this place. It is one of the first places I stop when I get to town. The guy who is always there, I assume to be the owner, is always very friendly and offers good conversation as he plates your meal. I admit I haven't ordered beyond the chicken dishes, but I would be surprised to learn that anything here is bad. A great choice for a great jamaican meal!!

Great food. So great and definently different for mobile. 4stars
Delicious, simple, clean.
I'm a regular customer to this fine dining cuisine. The food is excellent. Love the jerk ribs and the BBQ sauce. I hope that they can one day serve pumpkin soup. Food is spicy but that's how jerk and curry should be. I give the place 5 stars.
Definitely not for the faint American taste buds. If you're looking for something simple but different you'll like it. Very clean as well. I love to eat at locally owned places so give em a chance
Have you ever wanted something different than your ho-hum lunch? How about diving into some island flavor at Jamaican Vibes on Government Street. This very humble shop with it's delightful owners is a very recent find for me and I am sure I will be back.
Without hesitating I answered spicy and he told me to sit down and he would take care of everything.
