Always great food and friendly service! If the owner is there which he usually is, he will sit and talk to you. Definitely appreciates the business and is such a nice guy! I am happy to support this local business!!!
Uncle Pete's has become a weekly must have. I've had different items off the menu and have yet to be disappointed. However, I find myself almost always getting a Gyro. Why? Because Uncle Pete's has a fantastic Gryo!!!! You should have one too.
They are the very best in the qaud citys hands down.chris the owner had this passed down from his father and never cut any corners.great job Chris keep up the good work. I eat there twice aweek.

Pita wasn't as good, floury, not crisp. Meat was sparse, dry & cooler than in my past experience. Xtra sauce was wanted on sandwich not on side. No knife to spread it.
I'm so sorry... I was quite disappointed with my order!😔 Usually make a special trip from Morrison IL just to eat here! Hope the next time my pita's fried_not doughy & meat's juicy & hot!

Usually ordered extra meat, so my recent order may have seemed like less...I miss your gyros!
Previously I lived in Rockford area for decades & worked downtown where I frequented Uncle Nick's Gyros downtown location & later at East State Street.
After moving to Morrison, I started a sales career in QCA. Discovered your gyros tasted as good as Uncle Nick's in Rockford! Why? You're Relatives!
In QC I ate lunch after noon rush to visit with your papa (God rest his soul). In 2006 your diner was across from Jewel!

First time eating here. Definitely won't be my last. Food was fast and delicious. Service was outstanding. My daughter said it was her new favorite grilled cheese.
