Family Favorite. My family and I have enjoyed going to De Nunzio's for years. It's a warm, welcoming place with a staff that's just stellar. I'm smiled at or acknowledged by EVERY server, not just my own, and the hostesses are friendly and accommodating. The Veal and Steak Oscar are outstanding, the angel hair pasta with crab is superb, and don't miss the chopped salad. Quite often I'll order an extra to go (along with the wonderful tiramisu) to eat later. Sure, it's not the most glamorous place in the world, but it's clean, bright, spacious, and run and staffed by people who really know how to make you feel special. I've worked in restaurants, so I know how the "vibe" can make or break a place, and De Nunzio's is doing all the right things !
Decent Italian.... I find it a bit hard to find outstanding Italian in Pittsburgh, but what I like about this place is that it is decent, clean, and has pretty good service and value. It has a definite family restaurant atmosphere, so if you are looking for top notch Italian....do not come here. If you are looking for above average, family restaurant, decent value food, this is great place. I believe that all of their pastas are homemade/fresh, and that alone is pretty rare. We had one of their ravioli's, and I had their strozzapretti de nunzios, which was very good. nice tomato flavor, rich, good spice, and a bit sweet. The caesar salad was subpar, however, with too much of a commercial salad dressing taste.
Favorite Place in the Area. This is a great restaraunt with great service and great food. Very reasonable prices for the size of portions (huge)! Friendly and fast staff. Amazingly good food each time. Try the mushroom ravioli- it's the best on the menu.
This is a nice comfortable restaurant. 3 of us met for lunch and 2 of us had pasta dishes and salads and one had a fish sandwich with fries. We had soft drinks/ice tea which our waitress refilled regularly. The food was good and the service was excellent.
We met some old friends there and had a wonderful time. Food was fantastic and our waitress was a sweetheart ❤
It was my first time eating here and it won't be my last the food was delicious my steak was nice and tender the zucchini was also delicious even tried the meat balls.
