Best ribs, great pizza. Fun bar and quiet restaurant. Best of both worlds. Very friendly staff. We have gone to private parties in back rooms also. Always good
Ok this webiste is a joke. Probably near by owners write terrible reviews so people will not go. You decide. This place is a great family atmosphere, great Italian food, the portions are huge!!! The lounge is separate from the dining area. Family owned and operated. This is what America is all about. Blue Collar hard working people, Italian decendents, representing the city of Pittsburgh just like our beloved Steelers working hard to give the residents a great place to eat and drink and have a place they can call their own. When you leave you have a warm place in your stomach from the food, drink comradary of its patrons and staff. I have been there about 20 times, never a bad meal nor altercations. It does not have that type of clientele. Consumers need to decide. Try it you'll like it and if you do get a meal you will be coming out saying"I can't believe I ate the whole thing! (Italian Style with your fingers clinched by your face!)
Good fights. Go late, I mean closing time late on a Friday and it's usually good for a police call or two. Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday are hit n miss, but Friday's always seem to work their magic. Always sit with your back to the wall. Cheers!
Great FAMILY OWNED eatery. Stopped in for a quick bite and stayed for 3 hours. The homey atmosphere and the excellent food quality are above reproach. I recommend the wings, or any of the subs, and ask for the SUB SALAD. You will not regret giving this place a shot, I guarantee it!!!
Very good food as always and service much better since last time I ate there
Completely surprised and impressed. I was in with my family a few months ago, and Tolerico's had apprently just changed their menu. The staff seemed confused and uneasy, and the meals were just "ok". This past week, we decided to give it a try! I had to post my comments, seeing as how it appears these posts may give it a "bad rap". We were kindly greeted by the hostess, who quickly sat us at a table. Our server was at our table in less then a minute. Our second experience was completely different then the first! We felt welcomed, comfortable, kind of like we were at home eating! Our meals were spectacular, and every dish that went past us seemed to be better then what we had! I can't wait to bring in friends and family to try more items on the menu. Hopefully everyone that reads this gives them a second or even third try....I don't think you will be disappointed!
My date had the meatball calzone, and I had a jumbo fish sandwich. They were both absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked to temp and rather quick. Our server was polite. Only giving four stars due to bothersome flies and a sticky table. Overall, I would definitely go back!
At a private party Food was excellent. Service is fast and courteous. Restaurant sometimes is a bit busy but inside and outdoor seating is pleasant and comfortable. The buffet was well stocked and food was at proper temperature, Staff was exceptional providing drinkd and cleaning table. They have a full menu of bar food, appetizers, dinners with desserts, many sides. Everything you would expect from a local high class pizza resturant & bar. Restrooms are clean and kept that way by meticulous staff that is cleaning when they are not busy serving you and your family.
Tolerico's bar and restaurant is very nice
place to go for a bite to eat or to have a party or baby/ wedding shower. They offer many kinds of food from steak and pasta dinners to cheesesteak sandwiches and burgers. The menu also has items such as appetizers
and chicken strips and incredible pizza!!! They have beer, wine and various libations
that are bound to quench your thirst. The
atmosphere is cozy and still this is a great place to watch football and other spectator
sports. There is a broad range of clientele from twenty- somethings to old - timers. A
very nice atmosphere, no trouble or riff raff.
This place welcomes families and children.
There is ample free parking for everyone and
they do have handicap parking. The bar and
restaurant are both wheelchair accessible
There is both a men's and women's room. During the summer and nice weather, they
sometimes have a place to sit outside and
enjoy your food and drinks. I would highly recommend Tolerico's bar and restaurant. I
need to note that though I have frequented
this place many years, I haven't been there for a while. It's a nice place to chill.
Was there for an after funeral luncheon when my Dad passed away. The staff and management could not have been more professional and supportive. This came up unexpectedly and my mom and I scrambled to get all the arrangements on short notice. Tolerico's called and sent emails to us so that we could make an informed decision. The food was fresh and plentiful. The staff was very accommodating and made our loss bearable.
New favorite! Very authentic Pittsburgh food. Nice place to take the family. I had the hot sausage hoagie, and it was delicious. Took me back 40 years to the kind of food we had then. Grandson had the cheesesteak sandwich, also delicious and authentic. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items!
