I live in MS now but my hometown is Monroeville. So I always try to stop here and grab a bite to eat when I'm back in town. Brings back a lot of memories :)

Great Milkshakes. They make a great milkshake and the location is historic... take a moment to look around at the vacant lot next door. Food is good too, but it is a place to get your daily requirement of grease in one shot... that is not necessarily a bad thing :)

Well, let me say this, since I was a little boy, I always love to go to Mel's Dairy Dream for a Steak sandwich with cheese and a large chocolate milkshake... Been going here since at least 1 a week for 40 years, and everything is still in place, and food is still surpassing expectations. They need more places like this, it never get old just to stand in line, and wait on something good. Believe me, it is worth the wait.
Food is fantastic! Bacon cheddar fries are a local favorite. Don't forget a milk shake and a quick tour of the remains ofTruman Capote's childhood home located right next door!
I had a Philly cheese steak and some fries. My order was exact, hot, and so delicious! The shakes are made with ice cream and milk with a pinch of magic or something!
