Hands down the best pastries I've ever had till now. Surprisingly amazing latte too. We tried a lot of french pastries and loved all of them - both savory and sweet ones. One pastry with puff layers and vanilla cream filling, I forget the name - it was so delicious, it blew my mind. You can get the limited seating if you arrive early. During long weekends, holidays, it's hard to get any seating at all. Definitely a must visit.
Most of the time that we're on the Monterey Peninsula, we'll stop in on our way home because the pastries are delicious!
Absolutely phenomenal little bakery by the sea. My family can’t stop talking about the cakes!! 🍰 And the lemon macaroons were addicting.
The staff is friendly and gets everything done quick, but be aware it’s usually pretty busy! It was a bit expensive for a ‘usual’ spot but totally worth it as a treat yourself day. I’d like to go back and try the veggie sandwich, it looked great.
Absolutely loved the sweet and savory croissants in such a charming, historic building. There’s a couple tables on their front porch and even more around the corner on their patio
Excellent pastries. Initially bought an almond croissant, brioche with vanilla custard, and cinnamon pastry.
Almond croissant was the best we've ever had. The filling isn't just marzipan slapped inside like most places, it's like a cream/custard with almond paste, the croissant itself, exceptional. After we finished we bought two more to bring home. Brioche with vanilla custard was also exceptional, also bought another to take home. Decided to try a Quiche Lorraine, delicious.
Can't recommend this place more.
For the past 15 years it has been the highlight of our visits to the peninsula! Wirth every mile from Reno and back ;)

Parker Lusseau is a very small bakery and coffee shop located in the historical building on Hartnell. This small shop has the best baked goods in the Monterey area. The products sold here are like baked goods found in Europe. The quality here far exceeds their rival competition like the Paris Bakery or Pavel's, etc. This is a true European quality bakery. The ingredients are higher quality and it reflects in the taste and overall quality of the baked goods. Customer service is friendly and the owners are very helpful. This is definitely my destination for amazing baked goods. Located next to the post office in Monterey.

If you love French pastries and you’re in Monterey, you gotta try Parker Lusseau.
Come early, grab some pastries and have a breakfast picnic at the Spanish bay (17 miles drive). Trader Joe is around the corner if you need some salad or snacks.
The hardest part is figuring out what to get at @parkerlusseau . 🥰🥰 I forgot what we ordered, but the almond croissants are my favorite and it did not disappoint one bite. It was so good, we finished everything! 😋😋😋
Favorite bakery. Every time we visit Monterey we make a point of coming to Parker-Lusseau. Delicious quiche (including vegetarian options), croissants, interesting pastries and good coffee drinks too. Quick and friendly. Not much seating but a few cute outside tables and easy to take away too.
Very nice higher end bakery, smaller selection of pies, cakes and breads. Ciobotta loaf 🍞 was excellent, espresso cake 🎂 was bite sized and fresh and tasty. Chocolate 🍫 and lemon 🍋 pies 🥧 were consumed 😋, full of taste in every layer. Look fantastic and taste even better (how often can you say that?).
