We enjoyed eating here! We had a nice water view… food was really tasty. We had a cup of clam chowder and some onion rings that we shared for an appetizer. We also split the crab stuffed pawns and they were very good. I’d say they were more of a shrimp than a prawn though. Pretty small. Bread, sautéed green beans and a gratin potatoes rounded out the dish.
San dabs were very good (not breaded like most places), fish 🐠 sandwich (snapper today) was very good also, prices okay and parking is tight. View of docked ⛵ sailboats on a nice day was excellent. Added happy hour menu.
Busy place, call ahead if possible, had to wait 30mins as I didn’t make reservations but it was all worth it. Overall experience was good as the food was great. The people who come are mostly local and seems to know each other for some. It’s a good sign for a local establishment. Try their mussels and clam chowder. I also had their polenta and potatoes as sides too which was goooood (loved it!)
This place was a little away from the crowds which was nice and had such a stunning view in the entire restaurant. It’s not very big but it has a full bar as well! They had a lot of amazing cocktails to choose from, like espresso martinis!
The fish and chips were so good and soft but crunchy! and the clam chowder had a ton of flavor, was all delicious! Will be back!
Michael at the bar made our first visit spectacular. Recommended the chowder, calamari, puttanesca, and bread pudding. All were incredible and we will be back soon.
This is a Fisherman's Wharf staple! Located on the lower level with front row view on the water. Sandbar did not disappoint!! I couldn't resist getting the NY steak and lobster! Cooked to perfection along with the scalloped potatoes. From the garlic bread and garlic shrimp scampi as appetizers we started with I knew right away I was going to love this place. I could literally drink the juice from the scampi it was so bomb! I even was dipping my ginormous lobster in it so I could finish every last drop! My steak was cooked perfectly and the scalloped potatoes were deliciously prepared! Our server and the hostess were sincerely nice and kept coming to check on us to see if we needed anything. We will definitely be back here when we visit the wharf!
Amazing!!! Service was top notch and waiter made excellent recommendations, and was extremely attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was most enjoyable! Definitely will be returning again when traveling in the area.
This is a great place for seafood. We ordered the fried oysters & calamari for appetizers. They served fresh sourdough bread, which is a must with the scampi. I ordered the fish and chips with a side order of shrimp scampi. Everything was delicious.
We had lunch here and let me just say it was such a great experience. The hostess took my name down and told me to come back in about 45 minutes. We checked back about half an hour later and she remembers my name(I was shocked) and was able to seat us right away.
The food!!! Fish & chips, calamari, clam chowder and fresh sour dough bread were top notch. They brought out everything so fresh from the kitchen. The bread and butter delivered to the table no charge- was so yummy! We had a great meal and wonderful view while dining. Do yourself a favor and GO!
The New England Clam Chowder was excellent. The grilled fish sandwich was quite good although there was much more bun than fish. Very good service and nice view. Definitely recommend.
