Really loved the atmosphere and food was on point recommend highly .Beer was cold service was fast also
Stopped in for a couple beers and an appetizer.... very nice place. Sat on the patio enjoying the music. Staff was very nice and attentive. I'd recommend this place!
The patio at Coopers is a backyard oasis loaded with charm and character, with fire pits and outdoor heaters. The fish 'n chips are excellent, there's a nice beer selection, and they have curry. Nuf said.
I had the Cooper's combo and my wife a burger. First time having the combo and I enjoyed it. Just enough to satisfy . Wife likes that they give you the condiments on the side, so you can add what you like. Our server was attentive and not overbearing. One of our "go to" places when we visit Monterey. Plus our youngest likes the calamari, so we bring some home for her when possible.
Nice fast lunch while shopping. Great shrimp & crab sandwich w/ a very nice side salad. Great price too!!
Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Cannery Row. 🦀

Scampi style shrimp and pasta YUM!!!! I much preferred it to what I had at Louie Linguini for taste, portion, filling, and price. Friendly staff and good service as well as a cozy atmosphere.

We really loved this place! Went there for a beer soon after arriving in Monterey. Very friendly place. You should go you'll have a wonderful time.
What a great time we had there the other night. Great music. Vincent, our waiter, was super friendly. Great service.
Coopers Pub and its staff really turned our night around. Had a real bad experience at a nearby restaurant and when we walked into Coopers they greeted us with a smile and had us laughing and having a great time within minutes. Service was outstanding!! Staff super friendly!! They went above and beyond, getting my daughter chips and salsa (even though it wasn't on the menu) because we were not served food at the last restaurant. Class act! Great music and atmosphere!! Highly recommend.
Refreshing, local beers on tap. The fried cod bites were shareable and delicious. Priced for tourists, so beware.
Food was delicious, and a fair price and portion for the area. Nice service too, but my favorite part had to be the live musicon the heated patio. A wonderful nook for drifting away into the evening.
I last came back to this place when it was called "Bullwhackers".
I met the owner and he was very friendly, offered us window seating.
Atmosphere is that of a pub, conveniently located on Cannery Row.
I had the fish & chips (pictured below) which was a hearty serving of Icelandic cod. Fish was flaky and cooked well.
Additionally we had the crab cakes, flavorful with cripy exterior and a tasty sauce that accompanied the dish.
Overall well worth the visit! Will come again when we return.
While my Guinness wasn't up to snuff, I think that's the fault of living in North America, not Cooper's.
With that out of the way, I wanted to say how nicely and properly everything was cooked. I had the Fish N Chips. Fish, perfectly cooked, and not rubbery. Batter crispy, not bready. Served with steak fries that were all cooked. No raw fries here. Perfect. My wife got the cottage pie. The mashed potatoes topping seemed like potato flakes instead of real. Tasty anyway. And the lovely PILE of vegetables on the side, cooked just right, with some S&P and a bit of butter. No mushy veg here.
I would need to try more of the taps, but the Prince's Porter has some nice dark malty flavor without being too hoppy.
In short, I'm there everytime I'm in Monterey from now on.
We had the Fish & Chips, a wedge salad and some popcorn shrimp. Everything was good. Service was good.
Came in for just dessert and coffee. Coffee was good and the sticky toffee pudding was great! I'll come back another time for the fish and chips that they claim are the best. I'll compare them to the best I've had so far in the Monterey area.
