Arrived late to Monterey and kids didnt want to go out. We wanted Chinese and ordered here.
Wasnt expecting much. But when we opened up the chow mein, great smell. And the flavor matched the smell. One of the better chow meins Ive had.
Walnut shrimp was good. What you would expect.
Salt and pepper pork was so so. The flavor was missing some few things, all I tasted was salt and white pepper.
What we had overall was great. Maybe we need to dine in and try other food next time.
Ordered through Uber Eats. The food was better than what we expected! The chow mein was awesome. When the food arrived it was still hot and fresh. Will definitely eat here again.
One of the best Chinese restaurants in Monterey County. 1 or 2-star reviews have absolutely no idea what they’re talking a out. Going here with my girlfriend has always been an absolute pleasure. It’s affordable, good for takeout, and the dine-in is just perfect. This restaurant comes with some of the most unique dishes, ranging from Mandarin shrimp to cold spicy noodles. Definitely recommend anything with their mandarin sauce and the traditional dishes they offer.
Ordered chicken broccoli to go. I really need to remember to ask about whether a dish includes rice because this one didn't and it would have tasted so much better if it had been paired with rice. That being said, the meal was delicious. The meat was stir-fried in a rich, savory garlic sauce and the broccoli and chestnuts were crisp and fresh.
10/10 experience here. Great service, friendly and helpful staff. Our server directed us through the menu and helped us find the right dish for us. Reasonable prices and good portions. We left full and happy.
So so good. That’s a bummer. I should have been there earlier. It was my last day in Monterey. I definitely recommend this restaurant. I tried fried rice and kung pao beef. They were delicious. If you’re asian and miss your hometown food, try it. It’s so good. As a korean, I was 100% satisfied with their food.
Amazing food! Great staff. And absolutely amazing service. The staff was nice enough to make veggie version of their chicken dishes with tofu. And I loved every bite of it. They can also make Dan Dan noodles vegetarian. Definitely ask for that next time you are there
When traveling to Monterey and you need Quick bit this is a great Chinese Restaurant. They have great prices. An amazing selection for lunch specials if you work in the downtown area and you need a quick bite don’t overlook this great restaurant. They’re open for lunch in tutoring and they do do catering. So if you’re in downtown Monterey don’t overlook this great spot.
I ordered the chongqing chicken takeout and it was truly one of the best things i have ever put in my body. also the portion sizes were quite large so i got really good food and tons of it. easily 5/5 stars
The food was very authentic and delicious, I couldn’t stop eating. I’m not kidding. I ate the entire table and the restaurant too. Okay, but genuinely, it was SO good. I regret that I forgot to get dessert to go because I was so stuffed. I actually would go back just to get the dessert if I could. The egg and tomato soup, I would not recommend, but I would recommend everything else that I ordered, which was 9 different dishes. The restaurant was clean and the bathroom scared me a little because it was so dark. Asides from the food and environment, the service was great, and, in accordance, I tipped a lot. I unfortunately forgot to take photos, but I recommend this place!
The spicy chicken (Chongqing Chicken) with chilli was phenomenal. So much flavor depth. I also loved the cashew chicken, I highly recommend it if you are looking for a non spicy dish. The beef broccoli was also great. Everything was fresh to order. I would Monterey for this place.
Good authentic Chinese food conveniently located on Alvarado street.
The spicy fish was delicious.
Best Chinese food in the new Monterey area imo. The food is always consistent and freshly made.
THEIR WON TON SOUP CURED MY SICKNESS. After a day walking around Monterey, I felt like I was starting to get sick. I had a headache, achy, and had the start of a sore throat. My husband got us food from this place, and not only was the soup delicious, but I swear it cured my pending illness.
Wonderful staff. Perhaps dumpings (餃子 ; pork ; 6 in an order ; they’re massive ; the flavour is pleasant and mild) are better eaten in the restaurant than for take out that won’t get eaten for a while (as they keep on steaming and become mushy). My bad.
The food is very nice with big portions for a reasonable price. Great service despite the place was full.
They open just for take out! We ordered Wor wonton soup, bbq pork and bbq pork chow mein. Soup and bbq pork where good, fresh and delicious. But chow mein noodles was to thick. Over all we like this place!
