I had the best burrito here, the alpastor was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The tacos are good as well. I forgot to take a picture but even the tortilla was cooked to perfection. Definitely worth the visit. Prices are very reasonable.

Sweet little authentic place. Food's great, and the guy behind the counter is always stoked to let me practice my spanish. Good prices, never crowded. I love.

We went to this place every week for a year since we found this hidden gem! It’s a non-pretentious looking place but the food is delicious with freshest ingredients and authentic flavors! I’m a big seafood fan and their seafood tacos are a hit! I have never had seafood tacos that can be compared to theirs. Highly recommend scallop and squid tacos (squid is tender and delicious). You will want to come back! We even went here on the last day before moving out of town. I will miss Taqueria Del Mar!

Friends really enjoyed their food. I only had a couple Sidrales while they ate. It's a bit small and needs updating, but it's comfortable and the staff are friendly and accommodate special orders.

Nice selection, about 10 minutes to cook up fresh, abundant and flavorful, friendly service, great prices. Parking can be spotty. Not able to pre-order.

I was driving through from SF to LA and had a craving for fish tacos while passing through Monterey. After looking up a lot of places I decided on this one as I love to support small business. I was highly impressed by how fresh and delicious the fish tacos were. The fish tacos came in a small flour tortilla with cabbage and their delicious cream sauce on top. I also got rice, beans, chips and salsa on the side and all were delicious as well. The black beans and rice taste freshly made and very flavorful. The portions were also generous. The restaurant was so clean and the chef prepared and packaged my food to-go so nicely. I will definitely stop by again when I am in the area. I highly recommend this local small joint!

Deep flavorful, very delicious Mexican food. The man, who was cooking put his heart into my tacos. I took the food out and it was really nicely wrapped with paper, fully sustainable! can only recommend this place, especially given how hard it is to find a nice place to eat during Saturday rush hour.

We ordered a carne asada burrito, al pastor tacos and a quesadilla. Everything was fresh and flavorful. They are definitely not stingy with the meats! The only down side is we were craving horchata and they didn't have any.

This is a small, no-frills restaurant which dishes out some homely Mexican fare with generous and fresh portions of seafood. Prices are very reasonable. Service is quick and with a big smile. If you are a fussy eater expecting, vegan, vegetarian, ovotarian...etc. then go eat in some fancier place where they may fulfill your desires while they empty your pockets. Leave this place to do its simple, genuine and honest bit of serving tasty hot seafood meals with a Mexican touch.

Best fish and shrimp tacos, burritos and tostadas around! They also have artichoke burritos as well if like something different. Love this place and always a multi stop while we’re in town from Tahoe to surf!

Great place for lunch while in Monterey. I was visiting the aquarium with the family for the day and we decided to go for lunch off the main drag. Food was great, cooked to order, and came out pretty fast. The fish fajita burrito special was HUGE and very good. I am a big eater and could have easily split it with my wife.

Unfortunately they put dairy in the guacamole which otherwise would have completed my delicious vegan veggie burrito there. Of course, if you wanted a vegan burrito you would probably go to El Cantaro down the street so this probably won't be relevant for you. Still, the veggies are super fresh and the salsa is top notch. The food is great, service is great, and I would recommend to anyone.
