Really great service! Stick with the liver and onions, so good! Way better than the steak. The wedge was very tasty as well. I wish they offered more local wines.
Delicious food & even better hospitality! My husband and I loved the grilled chicken salad and the salmon pesto we ordered. Don and Rachel at the bar took great care of us and made us feel so welcome. The desserts are on point! The gluten-free peanut butter pie and cheesecake were incredible. We will definitely eat here next time we come to Montrose. I really appreciate restaurants that take the time to make great gluten-free desserts!
Absolutely amazing!!! Food was utterly delicious. That alone is worth the 5 stars. But we also got alcohol, an appetizer, and two entrees for two people under $70. For a steakhouse you can’t beat that. The owner personally came over and thanked us for being there, and the service was excellent. And when we told the owner we were in town for our honeymoon he gave us a free desert. What hospitality! Definitely will go back!
Went for Sunday brunch and the food was great. Service was outstanding and the food came out quick. Food quality was great and the price was extremely affordable. Will be returning next time we come through town.

We’ve been going to the Stone House for a few years and never once have we had a bad experience. We always request Cassei as our server. She is phenomenal. She always remembers what our son likes to drink and has it ready the moment we are seated. She is extremely personable and attentive to detail. The food is very good quality and is made to order. We love dining out at the Stone House! If you go- request to be seated in Cassie’s section!!
Had the great opportunity to stop by The Stone House while we were visiting the other weekend. We had a reservation for a table around 6pm, but decided to come early and sit at the bar instead. Quickly greeted by the lovely bartender Rachel, she offered us a wide range of drink options while we got settled.
The menu had a wide range of offerings from seafood, steak and wonderful salads. I got the pasta with salmon, and my wife got a wonderful Asian chopped salad.
We began chatting up the owner (Don) who was a super nice guy always checking in on our meal while helping behind the bar as the dinner rush quickly came in.
From the ambiance to the food/drink offerings everything in-between was wonderful. The place is great for visiting tourist or even the locals (who all came in for a quick beer and Moscow mule during our meal.
Highly recommend the caramel cheese cake to finish the evening. Can't wait to stop by again when we return to Montrose.
I can't believe we have lived here for 10 years and never ate at The Stone House. The waitress was wonderful. The food divine. The green chili fries were to die for. I had the coconut shrimp and it was amazing. The baked potato was one of the best I've ever had. The lemon drop martinis were perfect. We will be back. Thank you.
We really enjoyed the Stone House! Top quality meals and service in a really cool atmosphere. We enjoyed the steaks, Chicken Alfredo, salmon, wines, and desserts. It's getting tougher to find this quality experience in a steakhouse restaurant for 40 bucks a person but you can at the Stone House!
