Haven been waiting for this taco shop to open up and finally tried it tonight. Loved it! I had the shredded beef w/pickle taco. Got full because the taco was made with a generous amount of beef. The decor is really cool with grunge rock posters all over and classic metal tables and chairs along with some wood furniture. I definitely is a place to relax for some casual style dining. Would definitely recommend this new place to my friends and neighbors!
Been to this place twice. I would give it 5 stars, but it is very, very small, wait staff is usually a little overwhelmed when I have been in (good problems!) and does not yet have a beer and wine license. Otherwise, had the poke, the sweet potato and the chicken tacos. All delicious. My son had the carnitas tacos. He loved them and continued to eat through even though the sauce was too hot for him. Definitely recommending this place to friends.
True to their name the tacos here are damn good! I've been leaning more towards vegetarian options and trying to find one a taco shop can be almost impossible. Thankfully Epic Tacos has me covered with their delicious Potato + Green Chile taco and the amazing Yam + Sweet Onion taco. The place is a bit small but has great decor and plenty of seating to enjoy your taco. There are also two tables outside where you can gaze into the San Rafael Hills... provided it is past noon to avoid baking in the sun. If they ever get their alcohol license I might stop making my orders to go.
Came here with a friend and my boyfriend because we were craving tacos and wanted to try something new. This place has a very bright and welcoming interior--the first thing I noticed was how incredibly clean it was. Their menu has a nice mix of traditional street tacos like carne asada, and experimental, fusion types like maple pork belly and salmon poke tacos. They had a good amount of vegetarian and vegan options as well. We ordered several types for the table and I think the salmon poke were my favorite! The other two seemed to like the shrimp best. This place doesn't serve alcohol, but they do have a byob option. A couple sitting near us were sharing a bottle of wine and a couple beers.
It's slightly more pricey than your favorite taco truck but it's definitely worth trying! I'll be back soon!
Nice ambiance, delicious tacos, and fun to color the skulls. Lived in this area forever and it's nice to see something a little different. I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops...also, would be great if it became a late night drunchie spot.
The food was good. Definitely not the kind of tacos you would find at your normal taco truck. Therefore, it's a bit pricey for tacos. I liked it and I would definitely keep coming back!
Incredible and unique flavor combinations. This place has wonderful variations on tacos, and you don't have to break the bank!
