My family and Associates have Breakfast or Lunch at Sun-Up at least twice a week! It's a great meeting place in close proximity to my office on Langtree! Rd. The only reason that I would extend this unsolicited review is to counter the unfair inaccurate, absolutely contrary, to my experience, review offered by a supposed "expert"! I'm not an expert in Restaurants, however I have eaten Salmon in Copenhagen! and Sea Bass in Copiapo and eat out at least three nights a week because Darlene only knows how to make reservations. I know good and nice atmosphere when I have it! Presuming he's a self proclaimed "expert" it would be suggested that he will at some point need to be qualified as such! For this "Expert" reviewer to even mention DD&D (Guy Fieri) is shear arrogance! His review sounded more personal than factual! In the meantime, if you want a great breakfast, and better lunch, feel free to go to the Sun-Up and see for yourself! You never know who your going to see there!
My fiancé and I wanted breakfast in the early afternoon on a Saturday and headed to Sun Up. We both ordered omelets, which were delicious. The restaurant was almost completely empty though. The service was ok.
This was our third visit to Sun Up Cafe. The service has been consistently good on all visits. Today we tried the Scotch Eggs, mixed berry waffle, and turkey Rueben all of which was very tasty. We rounded out our meals with a Bloody Mary and a Mimosa. Another great experience!
Great breakfast the scotch eggs were amazing. I got the traditional breakfast and everything we great. My decaf coffee didn't take very good. Service was pretty good. Located below some apartments, lots of food and shopping in the area.
Stopped in unexpectedly, what a fabulous place! So clean with friendly and helpful wait staff. Sat at the bar, very comfortable and spacious. Among the best hidden gems around Lake Norman! Can't wait to go back 👍
We had a GREAT brunch experience at Sun Up this morning! The staff is friendly and everything we ordered was homemade and delicious. We would recommend the chicken and waffles with strawberry butter—sooo yum!
Great breakfast, lunch place near Lake Norman. Great service from host to server to runner. Creative and filling breakfast options. Definite must visit.
Lovely place to enjoy some coffee, a bite and friendly, efficient Customer Service! Ilana brought me a fantastic Ruben w/sweet potato fries. Great w/a honey mustard side for the fries- and a superior cup of Coffee!

I wish I had found this place earlier. Me and my son decided to randomly stop in. I went for the "Traditional Breakfast". Anywhere else I can eat about 3 of them but here it was perfect and large sized. Service was great and they've got a good system for not slowing down when the crowd grows (peak time). Would highly recommend, especially if you eat a lot at breakfast
