I'll start off by saying this place isn't my typical lunch spot but I wanted to try something new. I got the Appalachian cowboy it came with roast beef, jalapeno jack cheese, onion, lettuce, and roasted red peppers with a side of bbq basil dressing. It was actually fantastic! A nice meaty wrap with all fillings evenly balanced. The bbq basil sauce was also smokey and spicy so tasty! My side was pasta salad (I've never had pasta salad) I thought it was pretty good a little different to me it was plain pasta with a zesty dressing but still fairly tasty. My one thing about this place is everyone was just working diligently and quite lol put some music on and have fun with it. I will be back to try more of these tasty sandwiches!
Absolutely my best find in a long time. I hate uptown because if the one-way streets and parking but this hidden gem makes it all worth the while. Absolutely phenomenal soup, sandwiches, and even better people. Terrance, Renae, and Mario were very friendly and treated us like family. We were laughing and visiting talking like old friends before we left. Love the atmosphere, the over-the-top delicious food, and the unbelievable feeling the world is gonna be ok just from a good hearty meal. Just a good vibe after being there. Will definitely be spending more time with them. Great food, service, and people. Please try their pimento cheese sandwich, tomato basil soup, and oh lord don't forget the pumpkin curry. You just can't go wrong try it all. I know I'm going to!
What a pleasant surprise! I half thought this was going to be just an OK lunch, but it was fantastic! Finding any place with vegan options is always a plus, and for my wife (not vegan) to get what she wants is off the chain! I've had plenty of avocado sandwiches, I make them myself at home, but what really set this one apart was the basil mayo! OMG Batman you hit this one out of the park! My wife loved her chicken salad sandwich and we both had the pasta salad, which was great as well. Service was a little lacking, but it seems everyone is short handed these days, so being able to enjoy sitting outside, we didn't mind that much for the wait, especially since our food was so good!
For the Limbertwig Cafe this song comes to mind from my "Love Our Life," album, "Heart of Mine!" It's like they need where my heart was and served up a big heaping dose of pure love and flavor! What a great way to end our day in Morganton!
These people are truly a hidden gem! We stopped for a sandwich and enjoyed their turkey reuben and roast beef w/cheddar, both of which are delicious. While we were waiting they brought us samples of their homemade soups, tomato basil, pumpkin curry, and "hamburger"! We have to say, we've never tasted better soups! They were fantastic! If you're looking for a real treat for your palate, hurry on in to the Limbertwig!!
Delicious, fresh sandwiches! Large menu and everything looked good. My family tried the tuna melt, chicken quesadilla, egg salad sandwich, and roasted red pepper avocado club. Everything was delicious and we were very satisfied with our lunch.
We sat outside for the blip of great weather this week, so glad we found this place!! It was getting busy about 12:15 and now we know why. We both got a sandwich and salad and were pleased to find they had gluten free bread on hand. Someone at the bookstore highly recommended it and it did not disappoint!! We love veggies and didn't try the soup but we will definitely be back to do so. The tea was also phenomenal; Morganton is lucky to have this gem open for weekday lunch!
I ordered the tropical chicken salad and the soup of the day (which was tomato basil). Their service while taking my order was good, but it took about 30-35 minutes to get my food, even though there were 3-4 people working in the back and the place was only moderately busy. (Lol they weren't very good at Papa's Pizzeria.)
Food was amazing though, and very reasonably priced, so 4/5 stars.
Great food, with some unusual combinations. 3 of us all had different wraps, and the flavors were excellent. Owner was so kind, and had great conversation. Good place to sit & catch up with long time friends, who moved back to the area after many years away. Definitely recommend, and will be back!
Absolutely amazing!! If you have not been here you are totally missing out!!
The food is absolutely delicious! This quaint little cafè is located conveniently in the downtown of Morganton.
It may not look like much from the outside, but I can promise once you open those doors and walk right in you will be greeted by lovely staff.
The menu has much to choose from and it even has vegetarian options!
This place is family friendly and a quiet environment.
Don’t miss out on some of the best wraps, sandwiches and croissants you could ever wish for!!
My first time eating here since the new location. Lovely atmosphere, awesome staff and the chicken salad on croissant was delicious. Can't say enough about how good, except I hope to go back very soon.
I service a lot of the restaurants in this area and out of all them this is hands down one of the best ones I’ve been in. The food is amazing, the environment is very laid back and peaceful, and everyone working in there will make you feel like part of the family. If you’re ever in the area definitely stop in and give this place a try guarantee you won’t regret it.
Chris and myself were traveling from Burnsville to home in Eastern NC, we stopped in for a sandwich and the place was busy but we placed our order and sat down, Chris sneezed and had a bad nose bleed, he cleaned himself up and went outside. I ask the gentleman to change our order to a to go order.. He inquired about Chris, I explained he had a cold starting and his nose bleeds sometimes.., He made us two soups and said he hoped it would help Chris.. the food was fabulous, and the soup was so good. I was hoping Chris did not want any…lol
Not sure if he was the owner or manager but he was professional and personal at the same time!! Next time I’m in Morganton I will be eating here again!! Thanks again!!!
This was my first time and will be going back! Delicious! I had the club sandwich with pasta salad .. my sis had the wrap and tomato soup and my mom had the chicken croissant.. all yummy!
The food is great. But if you go during lunch expect a long wait. These are real crafted sandwiches and not just fast food. My one suggestion for them, get an order number system so people can set the number on the table. There were a couple NEAR mix ups of where orders went. I would go back.
When I say this place is SLAPPING boyyyy!! I have not got anything from here I didn't like. Now it does take sometime but perfection takes time my boy! Just the normal BLT (I add avocado) is on fire. Eat and enjoy!!
Awesome place! Went with a friend for lunch and will definitely go back. Food, service, and prices were great. Lots of options. I had the Thanksgiving wrap. It was delicious!
This is a sandwich shop with a pretty extensive menu! This review mostly focuses on the food and service aspects.
I saw several reviews that mentioned the Jamaican Chicken Salad wrap so I decided to give it a go. The verdict? It was quite good! I like more spice but I eat spicy food a lot so I have a high tolerance for it. That being said, sure that they could spice it up but I never asked because I wanted to try it the way they normally serve it first.
I also read some previous reviews that mentioned the soups so I had to try one! I opted for the White Bean and Chicken soup and it was fabulous! In fact, it’s one of the best soups I have ever tasted! It was perfectly heated too! Nicely done! Cheers!
