While visiting Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, we had lunch at their on-site restaurant, Ship Rock Grille.
Restaurant was not too crowded for a Monday. They sat my party of 7 by the window/doors. Patio dining area closed because it is cold. Great view of the surrounding mountains.
Server was very friendly and gave us water immediately. They have a drink menu with soft drinks and bar drinks if you like. He took our drink orders and gave us ample time to review the food menu. It has a good variety of food. They have a kids menu for the youngsters.
I ordered the Buffalo Chili Dog. It is an all beef hot dog with Buffalo Chili and a few red onions on it. I chose Pepper Jack for my cheese. You can get cheddar. It does come with a side like fries, tater tots or fresh fruit.
When food arrived, it was hot. Portions are a very good size. Well worth the cost. I had to eat my Chili dog with a fork and knife because of the size. No complaints here. The food was flavorful and not very spicy. My family enjoyed their food. I did sample the kid's mac and cheese. Very good. Also, ate a little of my wife's food. She had the Smothered Beef Burrito. It was okay but not spicy.
Server kept our drinks filled when we needed them and cleared plates to give us room when we finished.
Very nice experience all around.
The view from this place is worth going to!!!! Sit outside and enjoy it. I ordered a burger and fries, it was pretty good, not amazing. The bacon was pretty to add onto it. My server was friendly and gave great service.
Excellent outdoor view, food and service. Amazing view of Red Rocks from outside patio. Indoor dining also available.
My friend and I had the most amazing time at shiprock grill and that is because of the awesome bartenders and wait staff. Michael, Savannah and Ben were rock stars. Michael & Savannah kept us cracking up nonstop. We had a few interactions with Ben as well and he was also hysterical. You cannot put a price tag on people that enjoy their job and do whatever they can to make you feel comfortable :-)
Me and my 4 yr old were hiking around the amphitheater and randomly decided to stop in for a bite at the grille. The chili dog and fries were legit. Son's Mac and cheese was as good as I've had, definitely scratch cooking. Really fun, relaxing and unexpected great time. Did I mention amazing views, killer museum and a herd of deer stopping by? We're coming back
Great spot for a quick bite to eat! Food and the drinks were really good!
Food was awesome, and the view was amazing! Very friendly staff and quick table times.
