You can't go wrong with either Rod's or Red Dog Tavern. The best restaurants in Morristown by far. I have family members that will travel over an hour to come to the Sunday Brunch at Rod's. With live music almost every night, a super friendly (and very attractive may I say) wait staff, and impeccable food, this place is perfect to eat lunch or dinner any day of the week!
We decided to eat there on Thursday night. The food was excellent as was Ryan, our server. Since it was so good we went there Friday night too. Yes, it's a bit on the pricey side, but I'm a cheapskate anyway.
We went to GK's Red Dog Tavern Thursday night, had such great service, thanks to our server Ryan that we came back Friday and requested Ryan's section! Food was also great!

I love Red Dog and go there a few times a month. The meatloaf is unbelievable.
Good drinks and atmosphere. The shrimp scampi and chicken parmigiana was great. Service was great. Mellow live music and lots of dog decor if that's what your into.
We had a great experience. The food is delicious with great variety and the staff made it very enjoyable!
Good place to meet up with friends, coworkers or a date. Lots of different areas to pick from, including 2 bars and seating sections. Bartenders friendly and attentive. Enjoyed piano player - not too loud so you can actually have a conversation LOL. Had 2 apps at bar and they were just OK. I would go back.
Even though the Red Dog Tavern and Rod’s are now basically “one” and share the same menu, the food is still delicious. We were sat at a table inside the main dinning room (Rod’s) due to the fact that the menus are the same now, so I missed that cozy “tavern” feeling that is perfect for a cold winter night. I would still go back for their meatloaf which is, in my opinion, one of the best in the area.
This was a great place to eat. I loved the feel of it. The buildings architecture was very inviting. I had a Kobe beef burger and it lived up to my expectations. The staff was very friendly also. The meal did take quite a long time to me however the waiter slept giving us updates and apologized for the wait. I would definitely recommend this place.

The server was trying to place the plate on the table without dumping the fries, when a few slid off, he brought another plate of fries, fresh and hot and no charge.
We waited almost an hour from the time we ordered until we got our food. 1 in our party had to shovel in her food so she could make another appointment.
