From booking the reservation, to changing the reservation the day of our anniversary dinner, the staff at at the Galley was so accommodating. We’ve been here three years in a row but this is the first time I made a reservation, they asked if it was for a special occasion and they made it so memorable-They seated us right away and had bread on our table that was overlooking the harbor and the water. They took our drink order, brought out amazing appetizers (We had the panseared scallops in a garlic butter sauce, delicious!
So we look down a couple of lines and they actually typed up “Happy anniversary from all of your friends here at the Galley” in our menu!
Our dinner was so great, everything was perfect, they even gave us a desert menu and didn’t charge us for the delicious creme brûlée 😋
This place pays a lot of attention to detail and the whole staff is so friendly! This will be our once a year favorite spot.
After a long drive we stopped at Morro Bay for lunch. The Galley Seafood Grill & Bar had an excellent menu. Crab cakes were excellent, Clam chowder soup delicious and lobster wraps were scrumptious. The service was very good, no doubt. Like the place with a nice view.
Definitely, we will stop again if we are in town.

What an absolute great place to go. 5 stars is not enough. Especially with a guy like Jeff taking care of you. Thank for a great honeymoon dinner. We'll be back. !!!! By the way best food we've ever had. Hats off to the kitchen!!! AMAZING FOOD!!!
Great food, fresh king salmon is excellent a melt in your mouth freshness paired with rice pillaf. Seared scallops is fantastic.
Fresh seafood at its best, prepared simply without too much seasoning so the freshness comes through. Highly recommend
I received a warm and friendly welcome frim the owner who escorted me to my table by the window so I had a view of the rock. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The clam chowder and scallops with rice pilaf were very tasty �. I will return!!!

we sat at the bar and had lunch, fish tacos were really tasty and so was the fish sandwich.
One of our most favorite restaurants in the world, and we travel a LOT! Crab cakes here are a must have. Anything from the “naked fish” section is always a home run. Service is always excellent and the view can’t be beat!
First visit to California, we stopped at Morro Bay for a day. Dinner was delicious, we had clam chowder, scallops and the salmon special. The service was excellent and the view is incredible.

Love everything about The Galley. It's intimate setting on the bay overlooking Morro Rock. The service impeccable, and the food amazing. Best lobster I've ever had anywhere, hands down! Not to mention the prices are great too.
This place is cool. We walk in and the host says, “do you have reservations”? I said , sorry We don’t and walked out. The guy comes out and said , we have one table available by the kitchen if you don’t mind.. we noticed people dressed really nice and romantic candles on the tables. We are wearing shorts , slip on shoes and I’m wearing my Fender T shirt. The same guy asked me “so, strat or tele” ( fender guitars).. I said depends on the mood, this is a cool place. He smiles and says “ it’s all Tele for me” instant connection and they treated us like royalty.. Music connects people no matter who you are or what you like.. loved it.
This is the best place in Morro Bay. I particularly like the scallops, the swordfish and the crab cakes.
We had a wonderful time here. We have had oysters all over the world, but these were by far the best ive ever had - plus they are locally sourced! Scallops, the Naked Fish and chowder was just perfect! I highly recommend! Thank you for the amazing meal.
We followed a tip from Laura at our hotel to try them out. Delicious food and great service. Seated right at the water with the beautiful view of Morro Rock. We highly recommend The Galley. You won’t regret it! Enjoy! 😊
I’ll start off by saying, this place has phenomenal food! They are a smaller place so the wait can be long, but boy is it worth it! The ambiance is wonderful. The views are just gorgeous looking over Morro Bay. I ordered the seafood pasta and my fiancé ordered the scallops- both of our meals were phenomenal! You could taste just how fresh everything was. The clam chowder was also delicious. I only wish we lived closer so that we could visit again. If you’re on the fence about where to eat, I promise this place won’t let you down!
Jenny made a great night even better. She's an excellent waitress! Great food and drinks; I highly recommend the filet mignon & lobster. We had an amazing view too!
The scallops here are a must-try! They are large, juicy, and tender. The clam chowder was solid! Lots of clams and delicious with the fresh pepper. Prefer it to be creamier/thicker
Wonderful waterfront dining. Enjoyed the Shrimp Louie salad for the first time! Good food and drinks were enjoyed by all. View was spectacular and near to otter nursery and seals

Very wonderful dining experience with great view of bay. Soft jazzy music set the mood for great lunch with wife. The seafood was very good. I had the rock fish and wife had salmon. Being from central USA it was noticeably better.
Truly an amazing experience, I'm not just saying, I've owned restaurants for the last 20 years. The staff is attentive, I saw sanitation practices that were on par with the federal guidelines, clean, and the food was amazing. Hats off to this place. Can't recommend enough
This place was the last place before heading home. This place was highly recommended by some of the locals we talked to. They weren’t wrong. I ordered the blackened rockfish with veggies and garlic mashed potatoes. Also a side bowl of clam chowder, because I have to try everyone’s clam chowder. Oh man! This place deserves more than 5 stars! Not only was the food amazingly delicious but the wait staff was on point! Hands down this might be the best restaurant in town. Highly recommend this at least once in your life to try.
