Always amazing food and service. Their new location has a great patio on the Embarcadero. The lemon chicken and Mongolian beef are to die for! Prices are reasonable, portions are huge, and the taste never disappoints!

Incredible Home Made Tasty Mandarin Cuisine Here Right On The Bay With a Very Inviting Interior: The China Dragon Restaurant has the best Mandarin Cuisine ever tasted, coupled with attentive and guest oriented customer service. Note pictures of the tasteful and warmly designed dining area. The egg rolls for example are not frozen but prepared freshly on the spot. Meat and lemon chicken dishes were top notch; the group was very happy with the fresh sea food items chosen for dinner. Sophie Lu, co-owner and chef, came out to each table and visited her patrons; this was another pleasant touch to the memorable dining experience. The sesame seed covered hot dessert balls were enjoyed by all and are highly recommended for that sweet tooth satisfaction.

There aren't many Chinese food options in Morro Bay. I actually think this might be the only one! With that said, this place hits the spot when I'm having cravings. It's not the most authentic, but it still has all your usual dishes that are more in the realm of Americanized Chinese. Prices are reasonable for the embarcadero, the location is great, portions are decent, and service is attentive. The interior of the restaurant is a little drab and dark, but it's very spacious with plenty of seating. It's never too crowded and the food comes out fast. For being right on the embrcadero, i wish they had better seating that felt more open and bright with windows and views. It feels a bit like a cave when you enter so the ambiance isn't the best. They do have a nice patio that is rarely used and a parking lot for customers. BIG PLUS -- THEY SERVE BOBA HERE! You can come in and order without sitting down and dining. They have a little boba counter that is a little removed from the main dining area with some seating.

I liked this spot! The man helping was very kind and was understanding when I asked to pay some in cash and some on my card. The cashew chicken was delish and the rice was perfectly cooked. I also liked that I got to do a quick walk along the nice promenade and even heard sea lions barking! So cool. Thank you!

ONLY To Go Orders still 6/2022 Recommend calling in order before arriving. But they is a good dude parking lot to wait in otherwise. I got vegetable chow mein and pork fried rice. Once preferred or about 10 min for it to be prepared. Vegetables were crisp and fresh and fried rice was good. Really wish they had staff to have regular table seating but unfortunately it's just to go orders only right now.

Decent Food and Decent Prices. The restaurant has been restored to a real Chinese Restaurant. Authentic nice and clean, the New Owners have taken the Positive side of Chinese Cuisine and put their own special spin on the menu. The dishes that we ordered were fantastic! I ordered the Vegetarian Low Mein, the plate was full of fresh Vegetables, house made noodles. So fresh and tasty.

First off, there's a difference between American Chinese and Chinese food. I like to think that this is a good middle. There are some traditional Chinese dishes I'm used to seeing and then some other American Chinese dishes. Not to say that American Chinese is bad, it is just it's own genre of food. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the owners were friendly and the service was great!

Their food is good.. That said, my wife and I had 'take-out' about a week or so ago - The dinners included two orders of fried shrimp ($9.00 each). When we arrived home, we found one shrimp order had one normal, edible, fried shrimp with the other five being inedible... In the second order, all six shrimp were inedible.... Both shrimp orders looked as if the cook had fried the eleven shrimp for an earlier order that was, perhaps cancelled and an attempt was made to re-fry them... Anyway, We live quite a distance from the restaurant so heading back was not reasonable.. Again, the food is good but check your take-out..

One of several "stars" in Morro Bay. All menu items are prepared fresh with each order making their food delicious. China Dragon does a huge take out service, obviously locals know that quality is assured. My family (and many of our friends) enjoy the ambiance, pricing and service.

Food was okay. Could have been served hotter. Slow service, we got one entrée much later than the first. Service was very friendly. Food didn't seem as good as it used to be in there old location. They used to serve shrimp on the appetizer plate and now it has been replaced with potstickers. Overall it was okay though.

We have been eating here for four years since we moved up to the Central Coast! We LOVE Sophie, Kevin and Linda our server. The food here is wonderful! We eat the spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce, egg drop soup, sesame chicken, Hong Kong style chow mein, rice, and of course, the fortune cookies are delish! I highly recommend them!

I had the family dinner B wonton soup - delicious!! egg roll - bland but the sweet & sour helped pot sticker - was okay cream cheese wonton - was good kung pao shrimp - was great and flavorful fried rice - was more like steamed rice with just soy sauce & sesame oil but it was still good. $2 for a canned soda was interesting but it was cold and refreshing. all & all, there’s not much to choose from for chinese in morro bay & this was pretty good. i would definitely return !

Authentic Chinese. Not panda Express. My only complaint is the small sizes and tourist prices. But once I tasted it all was forgiven. There's no dine in at the moment.
