WOW, best burgers in town and the pickle/banana pepper chips were amazing and like no other! Atmosphere is very unique and homey. Service was friendly, fun, and fast. Eat here and you won't regret it!

The Mighty Feisty burger is the way to go. Pepper jack cheese, red onions, jalapeños and a spicy feta spread. The atmosphere is great, all the staff are super friendly and very attentive to your needs. Best fries in town. If you haven’t tried them out, it’s a must.
To start, a little background and let everyone know I have traveled all 50 states, parts of Canada and Mexico and tried burgers at many of the places I have been not just McDonald's and Burger King but the mom and pop burger shops and Bar and Grills I have found in my travels but none of them can hold a candle to this hidden gem in downtown Kingsport TN, not only was I able to find parking for my semi very close but when found when entering the Backwoods Burger Bar the atmosphere was the most friendly and relaxing experience of anywhere else I have been then found a very expansive menu with many drink options to suit everyone; overall I would give this place more stars because the food beats all others and if I could pick anywhere to eat I would always come back here and have the backwoods burger with banana peppers and a cold beer.
Have to say it has to be one of the best burgers my husband and I have ever had. We were told by the buildings landlord, that has a gallery nextdoor to the restaurant, that the meat is ground fresh as a daily step. And the hand cut fries were very good too. There is a bit of a wait, but it is worth it. We will return to try other items on the menu.
The “filthy” burger and the philly cheese steak was WONDERFUL! I recommend starting with the fried banana peppers! Great people, great food, great atmosphere. Will be back! 10/10 recommend.
Jonathan and his crew always do a great job. You can get a good burger lots of places, but great burgers are harder to come by and that's what you get here. My favorite item so far is the smoked meatloaf sandwich...wow.
