Right before I opened my box of food I knew it was going to be amazing because the aromas that were coming out of the box smelled so darn good. The food was so delicious and they used fresh veggies. The dinner portions are also huge and two people can probably eat from the plates. I totally recommend this place to anyone craving Japanse food.

The hibachi chef at Fujiyama made this the most fun hibachi we've ever had. He kept everyone at the table entertained, from the toddler to the preteen to the adults. He gave the kids some cooked egg while making the rice so they'd have some food to tide them over. He had a bottle of sake that he offered to squirt into the adults' mouths, and a baby bottle of soda to squirt into the kids' mouths. Everyone had a blast with this. Rather than flipping shrimp into guests' mouths, he used cooked egg, which worked out better because he could keep going until you caught one. 10/10 entertainment value. Food was very good as well. I ordered steak and scallops; steak was good, scallops were cooked perfectly but could have used a touch more seasoning. The shrimp, veggies, and rice were all done nicely. We also ordered a couple Philadelphia rolls (my kid kept trying to barter his soup away for more sushi, lol) and the shrimp dumplings (which us parents had to claim quickly because kiddo wanted them all), so all excellent there. The server was awesome as well, took very good care of us throughout the meal. He proactively brought to-go containers towards the end of the meal, as well as cups for the sauce. This was just such a fun and delicious night, and if we're ever in Mt Vernon again we'll be stopping here for sure.

This place is a lot of fun, and everyone has fun.. The staff is very friendly, and attentive. The price is reasonable, and I recommend going when you get a chance.. The food is really good to..
