Sabor a Mexico is Mukilteo's best kept secret! Best margarita in town, and very reasonable prices! My wife and I have known the owner, Ruben, since before he bought and opened this place (back when it was a chain restaurant location (Viva Mexico) and he was a waiter). I especially love the carne asada, but everything on the menu is good. We usually go in the late afternoon near the middle of the week when it isn't too busy (or noisy), so I don't really know what it is like during the peak hours. We have never had a bad (or even a "so-so") experience, and we go there 2 or 3 times a month.
Good Quality,Great Place. Sabor a Mexico is a great traditional Mexican restaurant, serving home cooked style meals the way your abuela (grandmother) did! The service is fantastic, quick, and friendly. The food is tasty and the portions are filling ... more than filling, actually! We went for lunch, each had a small combo, and with the free chips and salsa, came away quite stuffed. The Relleno isn't done the traditional way (stuffed) but was tasty nonetheless. We will go back later for the deep-fried ice cream. This is also one of the few Mexican restaurants serving ice-cold bottles of Bohemian beer, which is far superior to the watered-down Corona that Americans call Mexican beer :-)
Definitely up there on my list of great Mexican restaurants.

Have been coming here for several years. Absolutely LOVE the chips and salsa. I usually get an extra order to go so it'll last me longer. The staff is very attentive and work together well. They make their drinks strong and their portions large. I would recommend almost everything on the menu. Tacos, flautas, burritos, Chile verde/Colorado, fajitas, and more that I've tried and loved. Here there's an atmosphere that brings me back.
The shrimp wrapped by bacon are a bit overcooked but in general it is good!

We spend winters in Southern California (lots of Mexican restaurants there). The food at Sabor is as good or better than any we've had there!
Friendly staff. Flavorful, authentic, large portions. Fast service. Been here many times. Love the chips and salsas. Celebrated National Tequila Day with marvelous Skinny Margarita and delicious three shots of something I totally forgot.
