First time checking this place out and it was really good. Cost is consistent with other meat and three restaurants, everything was fresh and the staff was extremely friendly. Not a huge dessert person but the strawberry cake is incredible. The owner (Jeff) spent a few minutes talking to us and is very personable. Definitely going back again in the near future.

Indiana folks here. This is a hidden gem! Traveling from Georgia to Kansas we wanted to stop and grab some real southern cooked food - no chains. Jeff’s was the perfect stop. As soon as you walk in it is buffet type style. You get your tray, silverware, and choose your course. They starve you behind glass as you make the hard decision on what sides you must get. Fried chicken, cornbread, mac and cheese, and don’t forget your dessert and sweet tea! We had banana pudding - sadly they had JUST sold out of their peach cobbler. The chicken meat is juicy and holds flavor. The breading/skin has a nice crips which is not too heavy. What I loved was it wasn’t overly salted or peppered, the flavor was great. I am not sure what cheese they used, but that was NOT velveeta, AMEN. Excellent texture and flavor as well. The cornbread patty was unique; it was not something we have had before. Would I have it again, absolutely. Let’s talk sweet tea - the south LOVES their Sweet tea, emphasis on sweet. Be prepared for that sugar to hit. My daughter loves it, but a bit sweet for me. That’s my taste buds though. Banana cream pudding, yes sir!! Fresh bananas, and wafers that were NOT soggy. I don’t know that I can say enough about this place. If you want authentic southern food and GOOD food. Take a tiny detour from 24 and eat here!

Took a chance on a Google search and was NOT disappointed for lunch. Just like the title says, family friendly. Soul food and more. Tasty food, friendly staff. Recommend the chess pie. It's a small restaurant but we were there for lunch and it wasn't busy ( Tuesday).

This place is a hidden gem! There aren’t a whole lot of down home meat & 3 places left in the Nashville metro area. Jeff’s is one of them! This was so good, so flavorful. My husband said he could eat there every day. Staff was super kind. Very friendly. I encourage you to give them a try!

The real deal home cooking meat and 3. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommended. They have great desserts too but you probably won't have room for it. If you leave this place hungry, it's your on fault.

I'm Kansas City and wanted a small local family owned restaurant. We stopped here as I was looking for something homestyle. Jeff's didn't disappoint, great southern food.

Probably my two favorite places to dine are BBQ and good old home cooking spots, and this place meets both. Saw a review of Jeff's Family Friendly Restaurant and knew where I was having lunch today. This place is the definition of “home cooking” where you walk the line, pick from 12+ different meat options, 17+ sides, 3 different bread choices, dessert, drink, and then sit down and enjoy. I opted for half-BBQ Chicken with mashed potatoes and white gravy, macaroni and cheese, and a griddle cake. This was a huge lunch but before I knew it I had eaten it all. The chicken was done perfectly and the sweet BBQ sauce was really good. The sides were plentiful and delicious and could tell they were made from scratch, and the griddle cake was a real treat! Overall this place serves up a delicious meal in a clean and comfortable atmosphere. The folks here are welcoming and provided great service…HIGHLY RECOMMEND this spot!
