We went for a fish fry. Since we knew it would be busy and we are seniors we did the late lunch early dinner as we usually do. We were there about three. It still had customers at that time but not busy. The place is quaint, love the atmosphere. One of us had the baked cod the other had traditional. They were both very good. The potato pan cakes were very good but I liked the potato wedges best. Its a must try place!
The best place ever ! The young lady that worked the drive through this morning is so sweet. Staff always very helpful !
Best desserts ever! Fabulous pizza, Sangria, Old fashioneds and the staff is wonderful too! Love pizza on the patio in summer.
Owner and staff are an absolute pleasure, and the food is very tasty. Defiantly my new favorite place for breakfast, can't wait to try lunch and dinner

I don’t even know where to begin as this restaurant has brought joy to myself and my family in so many ways. Food outstanding. All homemade and portions are always perfect. Service like no other. The owner Tracy always a smile on her face and stops by each table to ask how everything tastes and makes your experience that much better because of her genuine demeanor. The rest of the wait staff just as kind and attentive. Tracy sets the bar and they follow in her footsteps. Atmosphere beyond your expectations. The minute you walk in all your cares are taken away to a simpler time and place that we all long for. The decor has its own special ambience like no other restaurant in Milwaukee that I know of. The amazing outdoor wrap around porch surrounded by jaw dropping hanging baskets and quaint table settings. Love the hanging swing. The indoor upstairs bar so much fun and the hand painted walls breathtaking. They make the best Old Fashioneds! Surrounding the bar are country craft rooms that always put me in my happy place with or without my Brandy Old Fashioned In hand. Haha. Cannot forget to mention the amazing hand made desserts. I have had GBH do my daughters baby shower cake, my sons HS graduation cake and one year treated myself for my own birthday cake! My family has been known to take home those delicious amazingingly decorated sugar cookies and cake pops and have tried many of their other deserts no matter how full we are after dinner, breakfast, or lunch. I have been coming to the GBH for a number of years with my family and friends and make it a point to take my out of town family there when they visit. They always see me talking about it on Facebook as I am known to posting all my visits I am so in love with the restaurant. I look forward to many many more years with the GBH 💕
The food is good. The bakery is awesome.. And the Variety of coffee drinks is fantastic. THis place is very good and in the summertime you can enjoy Being able to be outside their. A must visit.

The staff is friendly and courteous and the owner Tracy made sure every table was taking care of, personally! I had the perch... and it was awesome. They have homemade potato pancakes which are my favorite! Make sure to get something from their bakery!

Delightful & delicious lunch on the outdoor porch! Tomato bisque soup & Chicken Salad we’re so fresh and flavorful! The Carrot Cake was the best I’ve ever tasted! My husband got a to finish it! �
I saw this beautiful little house getting it's transformation into the Gingerbread House about 12 years ago while on a business trip from Dallas and promised to bring my wife someday. We finally made it back this past weekend and was not disappointed as to what Tracy (owner) had created. The house itself is very charming. The service was very friendly and accommodating, not to mention Tracy's efforts to get us anything we desired. We can say by first hand experience that the Quiche, the Cowboy Burger & fries, and the Italian Grilled Sandwich were delicious! We topped it off with a chocolate croissant & chocolate cookie. This place should definitely be put on your list of places to visit. You WILL NOT be disappointed. Thanks Tracy:)
An amazing bakery with an even more amazing customer service. They did the last minute 18th birthday cake for my daughter, and they did an incredible job. Everyone at my daughter's birthday party commented how beautiful, fresh, and tasty the cake is! A huge thank you to the Gingerbread house staff, and their cake decorator!
The quaint farmhouse exterior belies the bustling bakery and restaurant within. The patio entrance has a southern exposure sure to provide sun year round. Once inside, you will be greeted by the staff and the hundreds of country-inspired decorations adorning the walls, halls, floors, and corners. Their menu is brief, and even moreso on the week days. The hot breakfast favorites are only available on Saturday and Sunday. The staff is friendly, if a little less attentive, especially when they are near capacity. They fill up fast on the weekends, so plan your visit accordingly. And, do not be discouraged if people are already parking on the street, you may still get a seat.
What a cute place! Worth checking out for sure. The entire ambiance is adorable. Bakery items made in house. Prices are high but everything was delicious. Boutique and bar upstairs. Not much seating inside so call ahead on weekends. They used to only do full breakfast on weekends but now they do weekdays too. Clean. Fast and friendly! Shout out to Mariah, our server!
Amazing service! The food was very good. The staff was so nice and welcoming;) Even the owner was here making sure everyone was taken care of. Will definitely be returning!!! I recommend the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake (pictured below).

My husband and I love taking our son here. Of course we all love the treats we pick up from the bakery, but Gingerbread House has a few other things that make them stand out. One, they have a coffee called Highlander Grogg - if you ever get a chance to try it, you should! It’s delicious without any cream or sugar! Another unique part of the experience is being able to see the animals outside. My son wants to go just to see the chickens! When we go as a family, the kid is happy with the chickens and bakery and the parents are happy with the coffee (and bakery of course). Now when we go without the kid, it’s a completely different experience. My husband and I love going here for morning dates. The food is just as good as the bakery (I always end up getting the Eggs Benedict and my husband usually gets some sort of smothered breakfast burrito). Plus they have a cute boutique and night options as well (including wine and a delicious appetizer platter)! So glad that I am fortunate enough to be able to frequent this place!

Absolutely charming! The decor presents a relaxed but quaint vintage cottage appeal with multiple seating areas both inside and outside on their lovely porch.
Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly gal and told her that it's my first time here. Another lady started talking with me about their offerings and I asked if she was the owner. She was. She's incredible. Taking the time to chat with me about her store while helping others and overseeing trainees. Her staff knows customer service!! Which is rare. I was so impressed by their courtesy and friendly dispositions despite being busy. One lad helped carry my take out to my car. He didn't have to but grabbed all my bags carefully and placed them in my car. He was just so thoughtful.
Finally, the food. Very delicious! I bought a tuna salad sandwich for myself and the shrimp/crab salad for my husband. Both tasted great and had a nice presentation. Even in take out boxes. I had a very yummy maple spice iced latte and also two desserts. The Cheesecake Factory cheesescake is not worth the calories. Go here! We had a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake that was sublime. Elevate your dessert pallet!
I've never gone inside before and I was so surprised! It is so adorable and they have a pretty big menu! We were seated right away and the staff was so friendly. Their pastries were delicious and they have amazing coffee treats as well. Definitely will be coming back for dinner in the future!
